US Immigration from Brazil

Hi,

My wife arrived on a K1 visa in January and we got married with the 90 days of her arrival.

I submitted the AOS package first time in March...rejected because it was the outdated version.

I submitted the updated version plus I-944 with tons of docs, received and signed by a Mr. Harper in Chicago April 1st.

This one may be rejected as well because I left the "total family size #" on the I-944 blank and also didn't send in an academic equivalency evaluation of her high school transcript/diploma, just certified translations. Also didn't put in "English" and "Portuguese" under her language courses since apparently high school courses in these can qualify.

I imagine, based on what I've read about the I-944, USCIS will be fussy with blank spaces and will probably reject the whole package. My wife is already technically out of status, much less than 180 days so far.

If circumstances come up where she overstays by 180 days or longer, will she have to go overseas for consular processing for another visa, then adjust from that one on returning? Or will she be able to apply for AOS while staying here, even past 180 days?

So I am engaged to a US citizen and we have plans to get married this summer while I'm on a tourist visa visiting him and then, after I go back to my homecountry, we plan on sending in the I-130 application for spouse so we can be together.

But as I as looking at the evidence requirements for the petition on the USCIS website, the listed the following:
- Documentation showing that you and your spouse have combined your financial resources;
- Proof of legal name change

So I was wondering:
- Can I have a joint bank account with him even though I don't live in the US? (in my case I only go to the US to visit)
and
- Can I change my name legally after marriage being on a tourist visa? Will that be valid in my homecountry? Will I have to reissue my passport and/or visa due to name change?

Can he do this? What might this mean?

Hi everyone,

I enlisted in the Army National Guard on April 15, 2020 and I'm getting shipped out on June 3rd, 2020. My recruiter keeps telling me that I need to have my N-400 and N-426 on me when I get to the base because they will start the process right away. With that being said, she said I will be naturalized by the time I graduate Basic Combat Training (BCT). I'm so lost because I keep finding conflicting information out there. Some say it is correct and others says it is not due to the new policy changes in October, 2017. I tried to search here but I can't see any new post from 2020. Does anyone know something new about it? I'm so sad about all of that. Today I called USCIS and the agent confirmed me that I can apply right away when I get there. Well, I'm still unsure and I just don't want to go though that "hurry up and wait game" again.
