We just recently found out we are pregnant while my husbands AoS is pending! Just was wondering what alternatives were available other than my work insurance as it s very expensive for both me and baby to be on it! My husband is waiting on his green card interview. just was wanting thoughts on possibly using CHIP for the baby when he/she is born. I qualify with my income. I just don t want anything to adversely affect my husbands immigration journey down the road ! If it will we will go another route.

Hello! We are at the NVC stage filling out the DS260....just a little confused with this question...any help would be appreciated I am petitioning my husband and we are at the NVC stage. He has a daughter who is under 21 who he does not intend on petitioning for until he becomes a citizen (so years from now) We are on the question "is this child immigrating to the US at a later date to join you?" Do we answer yes or no to this? She will still be under 21 by then.

Hello! This question has been answered before in some capacity but not in a way specific to my current situation so I will explain in more depth below: We are finally in the NVC stage and it is time to submit the Affidavit of Support. We will be a household of 2 and I have already made enough to not need a joint sponsor. Here are the questions that I have: 1. I am a professional singer and due to Covid my industry shut down completely so I was on unemployment only from about April until July and then claimed weeks here and there when I was not able to find work. I did work for theaters and voice over stuff that would pay but not enough to get taxed so those things are not on my tax return....I got a contractor job around July and that is the money that was able to be taxed...So now my 2020 tax return of course shows that I did not make enough to support my husband and I but with unemployment, new job and side jobs I did make more than the $21,000. Can I include pay stubs and proof of unemployment with my 2020 tax return to show them that I did get income that will not be on my Gross Adjusted Income on my tax return? 2. I currently still remotely working my new contractor job and as stated above have made enough to be the only sponsor. However I just started a new contract with another company and will not get my first check until September 17th. Will a copy of my contract with a breakdown of payments be enough to show I will be making this money through November? I just want to show them I will continue to make adequate income. Last bit of information is I made more than enough in 2019 and 2018 so covid is the only reason my income was affected last year. I really do not want to include a joint sponsor so any advice, thoughts or help with this is greatly appreciated

Hi guys, My interview is in 2 weeks and I am preparing all the documents for it. I do have couple of questions regarding what to bring. 1. So we submitted 2019 tax return forms both for sponsor and joint sponsor together with i-864, since we filed the AOS before we filed the 2020 taxes, do we need to bring the 2020 tax return for the interview or we are good? Also should we bring the new i-864 forms for the interview? In the letter it says "If required, a completed form i-864 ...", but I'm not sure if we need to submit a brand new one or the one that we submitted is already good? 2. I did my medical back home in September/October of last year and we filed for the AOS in January, that means that I do not need to bring the form i-693 medical report? 3. I do understand that bringing more evidence is better, but what do you think if this will be enough: marriage certificate, joint bank account, apartment lease, credit cards, tax return, photos?
