Looking for "LPR cannot be denied entry" link |

Hello, Just to catch everyone up: I'm in the middle of ROC (first one denied due to uscis error, second one sitting in some uscis office gathering dust), and I'm planning on traveling to Europe to visit my family in December. I have a I551 stamp in my passport that expires two weeks after my return. I'm a chronic worrier and therefore would very much like to have a printout of wherever it states that LPRs must be allowed entry (albeit with an NTA if the officer so chooses) in case I get an uneducated CBP officer. Does anyone have a link?

To get things potentially rolling now or to wait? |

Quick summary of my ROC journey. My first I751 submitted in 2020 got wrongfully denied due to supposedly not responding to RFE even though I later found out my response to RFE is in my A-file. Second I751 got submitted in January 2022 and is still stuck on "Case was received". I already contacted a congress representative last year. My next step is calling USCIS, get told there's nothing they can do, and then submit an Ombudsman request. The only problem is that I'm planning to visit my family in December. I haven't been to my home country since 2017 due a combination of waiting for AOS to be adjusted, then covid, then not being able to take time off work. I'm worried that contacting the Ombudsman now could increase the chances of my interview falling exactly during the 1-2 weeks I want to go abroad. On one hand I want to finally get my 10 year greencard, but on the other hand keeping my case sitting untouched on someone's desk for another 6 months isn't going to hurt me. The only thing that could be a hassle is that I would need to renew my ADIT stamp at the end of January. So what should I do? Should I get things rolling now or let the proverbial sleeping dogs lie?

Hi there, super random question but, if an F1 student has received their Visa for a specific school but also got an I-20 for another school, are they able to enter the country on school A visa with school B I-20? Or would they have to do an initial transfer after arriving?

Hi everyone, I have lived in 4 different countries, 3 of which are part of the European Union and I am a bit confused about the Police Clearances. The Spanish Ministry of Justice states that as a resident of another member country of the European Union, I need to ask for the police clearance in my country of nationality (Italy) because of an exchange of information between Member Sates. Does this mean I only need to get one European police clearance, valid for these 3 EU countries? I am guessing there are many people that have had this experience and would really appreciate some clarification on this. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I just filed my ROC paperwork with a divorce waiver, which is fairly fresh and pending. To get ahead of things, I have a few questions which ya'll might be able to answer as I am still debating on becoming a US citizen. So, I was wondering if anyone here decided to choose the route of not applying for N-400 and just live in the US with their 10-year GC? Is this even an option? Would this be an issue? I am curious to hear more about it as I couldn't find a thread around this particular subject. Side note: The main reason why I am still debating is, Austria doesn't allow dual-citizenship. So, to avoid of losing it or going through a separate process on that end, I'd appreciate more input on that, before making a final decision. Also, if I file for N-400, I'd file under the 5 year rule as I am now divorced and it wouldn't be based on my marriage. Thanks a lot!
