Just wondering if K1 visa can still be approved if neither party's parents consent to the engagement. Just curious if there's any effect on the issuance visa, provided that this is the only point of contention. Think of it as an elope.

Just curious if there's an app (appstore or android) for VisaJourney. I found myself reading the blog here daily while still nervously waiting for NOA1.

While I am waiting on NOA1 (still early in the process), my foreign fiance is mulling over obtaining police clearance report, since this will be needed later. Does anyone know what is the validity of the police report? My fiance said it's only valid for 3 months, but he's not sure. If there's no expiration date, then I would tell him to do it now and keep it.

From the various threads I read - it seems like some US consulates require (informally) petitioners to be present in K1 interviews, although USCIS doesn't have any such requirement. Has someone put already together a spreadsheet of this quirk for different consulates? If yes, any information would be grateful.

Hi - Does anyone know how to obtain Chinese birth certificate? I am a US citizen but was born in China (maybe Shanghai), and I don't have a birth certificate lol. Do I need it? My parents don't know where it is or how to get it. For example, if I want to seek residence permit in another country in the future (for example, Austria), I may need to provide that documentation..........Anybody has any experience with this? I don't have a birth certificate. I only have the following identity documents:

- Naturalization certificate

- Passport

- Driver license
