US Immigration from Austria

Has anyone tried getting a stamp without having a NOA or case number? My greencard has expired and I was honestly just going to wait the week or so until I got my NOA. But now its been almost a week since they stopped cashing new checks. My case was received November 13th. I'd assume uscis can't give me a stamp because there's no proof I filed ROC. Has anyone experienced otherwise?

When I sent my ROC package I neglected to include my tax return. Can I send it now with a letter explaining or do I need to wait until I get an RFE? And do I send it to the same place as the original package?

i am in the process of collecting my paperwork to visit the Austrian Consulate to get such fun things done as updating my passport, citizenship certificate, and getting all paperwork in order for my one year old.

i have a question about the application for the Staatsb rgerschaftsnachweis - it says to include as applicable all kinds of things. Amongst them, parents birth certificates and marriage license. Makes sense for my son to include as proof of his citizenship. BUT does that mean I have to have the same? I have a Staatsb rgerschaftsnachweis already, and a passport, do I really have to get my parents documents from Austria?

the consulate is pretty busy I guess and is not really answering direct questions (or picking up the phone unless it s related to emergency passports), just supplying links. And as applicable doesn t really tell me if it s applicable to me.

Does anyone remember what they brought along with them?

I just got hired at a new job. My greencard expires in the middle of December and I just recently sent in my ROC. It looks like extension letters are taking a while to arrive right now so I'm worried my greencard will expire before I get the extension. Can i keep working? And if so how do I prove to my boss that I can keep legally working. I assume I won't be able to get a stamp in my passport just based on the text that my package was received, without having an extension letter.

Applying for Adjustment of Status for Martin (F-1 student visa currently in good standing). For AOS 485 form, they request applicant to "provide physical addresses for everywhere you have lived during the last five years." We decided to include the three months Martin spent in Berlin on a fellowship in the middle of his current school program, but are unsure whether to include all times he left the US and try to match the arrival/departure list. Should we include holidays he spent at home not working (~4 weeks in December)? Is there a good rule of thumb to know how much time out of the country constitutes its own entry? Martin lived in the same apartment before and after his time in Berlin -- do we repeat the first address to make sure there is no overlap/gaps in the dates?
