US Immigration from Australia

Had an AOS interview scheduled for next week at NY field office. An announcement on their website said that cancellation letters would be sent out, and interviews rescheduled when they reopen for usual business, probably after April 1.

My fiance is applying for me to get residency in the US through the fiance visa program. The petition has been accepted, but we've waited more than 30 days and still haven't received anything from the NVC. She emailed them, as recommended by the letter they sent (which said we should email them if we don't hear from them within 30 days), however the only response they sent was an automatic email saying that we should call them. When she calls them, she is unable to navigate the options to speak to a real representative, rather than the automatic messages that aren't helping her. Does anyone have experience with this who would be able to help?

I know the question about visits has been addressed but, these are new circumstances. My fiance' is in Australia where travel is locking down in 2 weeks. There will be no interviews for the foreseeable future and we are at the NVC portion with a case number but nothing has shipped. Is it possible for her to visit with a return flight until this blows over? Thoughts...much appreciated.

I wonder how many appointments will be cancelled... my K1 interview is currently set for 31 March and really hoping it won't be cancelled.

Hi friends. I m about to do my own search through the google pages .. but wondered if there was any wisdom regarding the reentry permit conditions.
My parents .. 91, in Australia, high risk for fatality if they contract COVID. I m 3 1/2 years into the 5 year period of LPR so I can t naturalise yet.
I m considering applying for a reentry permit in case I need to be in Australia to care for them in the future. I know it allows for up to 2 years out of the US .. but

i need to establish when that 2 year period starts ..

When I leave the country ... when the permit is issued ... or looking backwards 2 years if I return from

a long trip ..
I don't need to use it now .. I may never need to use it .. but can I get one now and know that I can use it into the future if needed ?
