Hi guys,

Quick question. We had already written up our I-134 prior to the pandemic. Now my fiance has been furloughed. What should we write instead? He is still employed by his work but he is receiving unemployment now. What do we write? His work? Unemployment? Write it in the comments?

We are using a co-sponsor anyway and this was always the case. They haven't lost their job. I am just not sure what to put for my fiance.

Thanks!

Presidential Proclamation 9994

Newly approved I-130 after 341 days in Nebraska! Now that my husband and I will be dealing with the NVC, it had me wondering how the Presidential Proclamation 9994 will be affecting this process. According to whitehouse.gov,

"The suspension and limitation on entry pursuant to section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:

(i)any lawful permanent resident of the United States;

(ii)any alien seeking to enter the United States on an immigrant visa as a physician, nurse, or other healthcare professional; to perform medical research or other research intended to combat the spread of COVID-19; or to perform work essential to combating, recovering from, or otherwise alleviating the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or their respective designees; and any spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old of any such alien who are accompanying or following to join the alien;

(iii)any alien applying for a visa to enter the United States pursuant to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program;

(iv)any alien who is the spouse of a United States citizen;

(v)any alien who is under 21 years old and is the child of a United States citizen, or who is a prospective adoptee seeking to enter the United States pursuant to the IR-4 or IH-4 visa classifications;

(vi) any alien whose entry would further important United States law enforcement objectives, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or their respective designees, based on a recommendation of the Attorney General or his designee;

(vii)any member of the United States Armed Forces and any spouse and children of a member of the United States Armed Forces;

(viii)any alien seeking to enter the United States pursuant to a Special Immigrant Visa in the SI or SQ classification, subject to such conditions as the Secretary of State may impose, and any spouse and children of any such individual; or

(ix)any alien whose entry would be in the national interest, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or their respective designees."

This peaked my interest, as it seems this will be changing the normal process for NVC petitioners. Could this mean faster processing times for those exempt from this proclamation? I'm aware that consulates and embassies are closed anyway, but could it potentially speed up the NVC process? All speculations welcome!

Hi all,

My NOA2 is valid only until the 10th of June 2020. Is there anything I need to do to extend it? I am in Australia and embassies are still closed and I have no interview date yet. Thank you. :)

Online I-130 Relationship Evidence

Hi there,

I have a couple of questions about evidence of our marriage/relationship for the I-130. The evidence asked for on the online I-130 asked just for marriage related things like certificate, tenancy documents, Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an ongoing marital union (which I guess can include photos of wedding ceremony receipts of wedding and rings) which I can provide.

Although, the beginning of our relationship before my wife came to Australia, we were long distance. Most of our chats happened over different platforms like Tumblr, Viber (which I do not have logs for any more >__<) and iMessage and FaceTime calls.
Question 1: Do I need to add chat/ call logs in as evidence of time spent while apart? I'm struggling to find this old information as it was about 4-5 years ago, I've only got little screenshots here and there.

Question 2: Are photos and airline receipts enough evidence as I can easily source these or do I need whats mentioned in Q1?

Question 3: AM I reading too much into it all and should just provide marriage evidence?

Thanks in advance!
