Is there any aussies or others out there living with their fiance already while applying for the K1 visa? My partner is on a student visa and we live together in Sydney Australia. She is applying for a post grad visa to work here for next year. I would just like to hear your story on the process with your affidavits and submitting evidence of a relationship and what difficulties or handy info you'd like to share! * * * I know many people are going to tell me to apply for the CR-1 visa and i've looked into this process extensively and my partner and i have come to terms that this doesn't fit well with us considering her family cannot attend the wedding here in Australia and this would cause quite a bit of tense which is something we'd rather avoid. I am fully aware of being unemployed for nearly up to a year and we will be financially capable of supporting this. I have also looked into the states driving policy as well and loads more! Please share any other info that could be handy rather than the CR1 visa route. Thanks so much!

Hi guys, Today we received an email from NVC saying that our request for expedite has been approved and our case has been sent to the embassy. The thing is, we never applied for an expedite! I have sent an email to NVC explaining the same and asking that our interview not be scheduled until May. My sister is getting married in October here in Australia and I'm worried about being able to make it back. Is it possible for them to delay our interview until then? Has anyone else had this happen?

K1 VISA JOINT SPONSOR - AUSTRALIA |

I was wondering if anyone from Australia has filed for the K1 visa using a co-sponsor? I am trying to find it on the U.S Consulate & Embassy in Australia although it's only stating information about a sponsor in general which would be my partner? i can't find any further info anywhere regarding the joint-sponsor. Is this even possible? My partner is on a student visa at the moment, we are living together in Australia and we are planning on applying in <7 months and trying to gather as much info as possible now. Her mother has requested her to come back to the states to work there for her company as well as me but i understand that it will take months for me to be able to work, which is okay for both of us. If her mum was able to provide a letter of employment stating the amount my partner will earn would that suffice? She has earnt well below the tax threshold to submit any tax returns back in the states from here in Australia. Our plan is to go over to the states together. Has anyone ever done this? If Australia offers the joint-sponsor for the K1, would it be easier for her Mother to apply than my partner? Thanks!

How to renew EAD/AP card combo while on AOS? |

Hey guys, So my EAD/AP card combo is expiring in Dec, and I'm trying to search how to do it. From a website it says that I can only file within 180 of it expiring, and that it only grants a 180 day extension. I'm currently on AOS and my field office is expected to take a very long time to schedule an interview to get a GC, so I want to know whether the 180 day extension is true because it doesn't seem very long at all. I'm also confused as to which specific forms I need to get both an extension EAD and AP? Is it two separate forms that I just send in as one? And from my understandings, since I filed for AOS, I do not need to pay as long as I submit the AOS notice and copy of current EAD and AP is that correct? Lastly, do they just send in a new card with both combo'ed on like my current card? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hello all, I am wondering if others are in same situation as myself. I have the re-entry permit (to keep the green-card). I am in Australia, we are unable to leave international boarders, due to Covid. It's unsure when these boarders will be opened. Will the deadline expiry date of re-entry permit, be strictly adhered to, if I can't return back to the US in time? I fear that I may lose the GC. Cheers
