US Immigration from Australia

Hi,

I have my interview coming up in early February and my immigration lawyer has stated I will need a new Police check. The one we submitted to the NVC (and was approved) was from May 2019.

Thoughts on if this is actually the case?

I've been soaking up all the knowledge here for a while but had a few questions I couldn't find answers to so I thought I'd reach out. Firstly my situation is I came to the country in July 2019 on a B1 visa, met my partner and in a whirlwind romance we got married in November. My visa expired in December and I have been in the country ever since, on the recommendation of an attorney. I'm now hearing mixed ideas around the impact of being "out of status" on the immigration process. My questions are:

- Is there anyone else out there who transitioned from a visitor visa > out of status> successful approval of AOS?

- Given the short amount of time together we don't have a lot of the harder forms of evidence like joint lease which requires an SSN at my husband's building (but we have evidence showing cohabitation) and very little evidence of commingling of finances other than a few bank transfers. Has this been a problem for any of you in the past?

- We were curious as to whether we should also each include a letter for the evolution of our relationship/ nature of relationship? I can't find a whole lot about these but they've come up from time to time.

Hello! I had submitted an AR-11 Change of Address back in August with my new address. I didn't actually receive any email or letter in the mail to confirm it went through, but after I submitted it I got the message "Success! Address change request submitted" with a confirmation number, which I took a screenshot of.

I see online that I have my Naturalization interview scheduled and the notice is being mailed to me, however viewing the letter online I see it has my old address. I believe my mail is being forwarded to me so I think I will get it, but my questions are:

1. If my mail does not get forwarded and I do not receive it in the mail, can I just print out the copy of the letter from online, or is there something about the letter in the mail being the 'original' that i need to bring that one specifically?

2. I intend on telling the officer the letter has my old address and I had submitted an AR-11 back in August. Hoping he can confirm or correct it in the system at the interview. Is this sufficient, or am I supposed to do anything more, now before the interview about the incorrect address?

Also random question, but anyone know if they are still offering same-day oath ceremonies in Seattle? I have a 7:55am appointment..

i am currently filling out the I-129F. In Part 3 on question 4a my instinct is telling me to disclose everything and check yes because I was arrested when I was 18 but I was not charged or convicted of any crime.

If you're curious with what happened: I was 18 and a "friend" of mine wanted me to pawn "his gold bracelet" for him in order to get some money because he was going through a hard time. He was 16 and could not pawn anything himself. I told him I didn't trust him and wanted more evidence from his parents to see if it was actually his. I talked to "his mom" on the phone who "confirmed" that it was his. I went against my judgement and pawned it for him since we grew up together and I knew his whole family. I told my girlfriend that afternoon what I did and she said a gold bracelet was stolen at school that matched the description. I knew this person and I called her dad and told him what happened. He and I confronted "my friend" and he gave us the money. The next morning her dad and I went to the pawn shop to get the bracelet back. I explained to the pawn shop owner what happened and how I realized how naive I was and that I had the money to get it back if possible. The pawn shop owner was furious but took the money and gave the bracelet back. He said I was a liar and scumbag and he wanted me to get arrested so "I could learn a lesson". Her dad didn't want any police involvement and tried to reason with him but he was too angry. The police showed up and tried to calm him down to no avail, so they said that they would arrest me as a formality to appease the pawn shop owner. I was only taken to the police station and interviewed where I was released with nothing happened afterwards. I did not have to appear in court or anything, I was only arrested. My "friend" confessed and said how he used me without my knowledge of the true situation and I received no legal charges.

I was wondering if a written statement explaining the situation of when I was arrested would be satisfactory? I literally cannot find anything on this arrest but I'll try to get in contact with the courts in Hawaii, the difficult thing is that I am overseas at the moment and don't know how I could obtain certified copies of any arrest reports without it taking forever by being mailed to me.

So I'm pretty nervous for his K1 interview in March.

I'm (petitioner) currently unemployed (full-time mom and health aid to family members) and my fianc (beneficiary) has regular employment in Australia providing our necessary funds. We have a joint sponsor that makes well over the requirements to qualify for the joint sponsorship role.

I've been out of solid work for 2 years now (full time parent) but I'm qualified in a field that is in demand and I'm able to start working full time once he arrives in the States. I have an employer who is eager and willing to hire me paying a good wage.

I'm so nervous that they will disregard our joint sponsor and look at my glaring gap in work history and slap us with a denial, especially since I've been on Medicaid.

We're interviewing in Sydney, Australia.

Does anyone have advice or words of wisdom that will bring me to my senses and calm my nerves?
