My partner and I went to get our passport photos taken and the person doing it said that the background has been coming out bright. It came out bright in ours I m wondering if this would be an issue and if we should do it again somewhere else? I can upload it if you want to see how bright it is.

Hey everyone! We received our NOA2 on the 29th so I'm just working on getting everything else together for moving forward in the K1 process. I've looked over the K1 guidelines on here and the Sydney US embassy list of what to bring. My fianc is getting the vaccines he's missing next week, ordering his AFP, and ready to get his US passport photo done once he's got an interview and DS-160 ready to submit once interview is scheduled. We've already got the copy of the packet ready, and I'll be sending an updated intent to marry letter to him before the interview as well. I'll be doing the I-134 soon, but since its a new year need to do taxes first. I was living in Australia all of 2019 and did not have any income during that time. I've been back in the US for a couple weeks so still not working yet, but my mom has agreed to co-sponsor. Do we both need to do the I-134 for the interview? Any petitioners who were unemployed have any advice on that? Also, I hadn't heard of the MRV fee until now. Once our NVC status is ready will there be a link or something to pay that? If anyone has a link to accurate info on that that would be awesome because I'm finding so much on google I'm not sure what to follow. Thanks!

I know there are a lot of these topics and I tried to read through them to find the answer to my question but I didn't see this situation so here goes... My wife came to the US from Australia in OCT 2019 on a K-1 visa. We were married in NOV of 2019. Her tax year runs from July 1st until June 30th and she already filed taxes for that fiscal year in Australia before she left. Now I'm preparing to file my taxes and from what I understand, I can either file separately and treat her as a non-resident alien in which case she wouldn't need to file taxes at all since she hasn't earned any income in the US, or we can file jointly by having her treated as a resident for tax purposes in which case I need to report her income in AU for 2019. The problem is that because of when her tax year is, she only has documentation from her work that covers the period of July 1st, 2018 until June 30th, 2019. It doesn't separate her 2018 income from 2019 on that form. She won't get her 2019-2020 W2 equivalent until July or August of 2020. My question is: Am i expected to calculate her total earnings and what taxes were withheld from her in 2019 via her paystubs (assuming she has/can get them all), do I need to file an extension and wait for her 2019-2020 tax documentation, or do I just report what this paper shows even though I know she earned income from JUL-OCT of 2019 that this documentation does not reflect? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Guys.. I ve got no idea what to do now.. NVC rejected my Australian Federal Police Certificate saying it was the wrong one.. We called them and was refurred to a Supervisor for review Today after waiting over two weeks, we called them and was told that the Supervisor had reviewed it at that it was the wrong one and must be issued by the Fed Police.. But it is issued by Fed Police and clearly says so on it. ive asked others and they ve either posted or sent me copies of theirs and they re identical to mine.. I m not sure what to do now.. it s been rejected twice and reviewed by a supervisor as wrong one.. but it s the right one, same as others who ve been accepted and the only Fed pol one we get here any ideas?

I am a USC petitioning for my spouse. We live in Hong Kong with our 2 younger children. Does anyone think its worth a shot asking USCIS for an expedite with the coronavirus?? Its not getting hit like the mainland parts of China but there is a lot of local concern that it will be.
