Hello! I've searched the forum but couldn't find a concrete answers so I'm hoping I could get some help. I just got married (K1 VISA) aug 1st, 2020. Do I have to wait for my marriage certificate to come in in-order to file for an AOS? (in NYC, they told us it takes 4-6 weeks to receive it in the mail) Do I need to take a new medical exam? I just took one to get my K1 issued in Jan 2020. I've read that if you file for AOS after the 90 days, you're still good to go? Aslong as you've married within the 90-days. Is this true? Sorry if these questions seem "common sense" like. I'm just a bit confused at the moment! Thank you in advance for the help. Referal links to helpful threads and websites are more than welcome

Hello everyone I have a question regarding a joint sponsor. I m currently filing K1 visa and my dad is going to be my joint sponsor since I do not meet the income requirement at all. We aren t up to the financial stage since we didn t even submit a petition but I am just thinking ahead. My dad has cancer and it has been progressing rapidly I really don t have another option when it comes to joint sponsor. My mom and dad have been married for 30 years but my mom doesn t work, only my dad does. If my fianc is able to complete his interview and come over here, what would happen if my joint sponsor was to pass away? What happens if he passes away before he gets a green card? And what would happen if he was to pass away after my fianc got his green card? I m wondering if my mom could be my sponsor instead of my dad but she doesn t work, she is just linked to my dads income since she is his spouse.. can anyone help me out here? I don t mean to be morbid and assume that my dad will pass away, but I want to be prepared in the case that his condition gets worse. Has anyone had experience with this type of issue

Hi everyone I have a question. Has anyone been denied entry to the United States traveling on esta at the port of entry? And then later applied of K1? Did you have any type of issues. The reason for denial was because they didn t feel he had enough ties at home and that he wouldn t return back. He never entered the US, didn t even get on the plane. They just canceled his esta and told him if he wants to come back he needs to get a visa. We are now applying for K1 but I m nervous this will create any issues... does anyone have any experience in this and can offer some advice. They did write a notation in his passport and give him a alien #... not sure why but the notation is basically stating why he was found inadmissible to the US on esta.

Hello, this is my first time posting so please excuse any mistake I make or if this isn't the correct place to post. We are in the final stages of our K1 visa process. I've made my appointments and everything, but I have a few questions. I live in Aruba, but got sent to the US Embassy in Colombia (which is a 2 hour flight) I've been reading reviews and saw that it takes 2-3 weeks to pick up your documents after approval by the CSRA, and that you must go in person to pick these up. My interview is Jan 27th and I planned to leave Colombia and fly back home Feb 1st. I didn't purchase any flight tickets yet, though. Should I wait? Would they "expedite" the documents seeing that I'm not from Colombia and would eventually need to go back home? Or can I enter Colombia with a 1-way ticket and then purchase my return ticket home once I pick up my documents? I couldn't really find any information relating to a case like this, so any help would be appreciated! It's also much too expensive to go home and fly back to colombia to simply pick up documents as flights are about $500 USD per person. Thanks in advance!
