Hello, Our payment has been cleared so we can begin uploading our documents to the NVC portal. My husband (sponsor) was (and is) unable to get a Tax Transcript online, so we're going to upload to CEAC his copy of his latest Tax Return. His 2019 Tax Return consists of: - Form 1040 - Schedules 1, 2, C, SE - Form 8995 (Qualified Business Income Deduction Simplified Computation) Should we upload his Form 1040 ONLY under the document type "Federal Income Tax Return or Transcript"? And under 'additional documents' we should upload all of those schedules in separate pdf files, each under the document type "Federal Income Tax Schedule"? I believe that to be the case, but please correct me if I'm wrong. (as in, everything has to be in the same pdf under 'tax return or transcript' document type...) And lastly, where should we attach/upload the Form 8995? In the same pdf as the Tax Return? Or under document type 'schedule' like the other schedules? I don't know if it's a Schedule if it doesn't say "Schedule" anywhere on that form, but then again, I've never worked in the U.S. so I don't know how taxes work. Thank you!

Civil Documents - Birth certificate came in two separate pdfs |

Hello everyone, I recieved my NVC welcome email, so I'm preparing my civil documents to upload them to the NVC portal soon, and I have a question. All civil documents I can get in my country (Argentina) are all digital now. My certified digital copy of my Birth Certificate came in two separate pdfs: one with the Birth Certificate per se (digitally signed), and another pdf that has the required phrase "faithful copy of the original" by the "Civil Documents by Country" website for my country, also digitally signed. I believe I should only upload one and only one pdf for my Birth Certificate. If I combine the two into one file, I lose the digital signatures, leaving a weird error and blank space, so it seems like it's been tampered with (which technically it was, since I tried to combine them). Has anyone gone through something similar? What should I do? Am I mistaken and I actually can upload two files in the same 'category'? I hope I made sense. Thank you!

Hi I m new here, is anyone from Argentina or any other Latin American country doing the F2B family based? My mom is a green card holder who petitioned for me, im over 21 and unmarried. My family and I did not anything about it, when I got the Approved letter I thought it was time for the interview lol I got excited for nothing, but after doing some research I kinda of know, now. My PD is April 4th, 2017, my center is CA. I got the approved letter and it was sent to the NVC in December of 2019. Now I guess I have to wait until my PD becomes current right? (in another 2 years so it seems..) How was it for you? How many years did it take in total? When exactly do get to complete the (DS-260) application? Been looking for youtube videos of personal experiences but haven t found any! Feel free to share BTW... what does NOA mean? I see a lot of terms that don t know what they stand for. -Romina

Hi everyone, First, a little bit of background. I obtained my green card and EAD through family- based AOS (hubby is a USC). However, I still haven't updated my social security card (it still says something like "not for work authorization. I got it when I came with a J1 visa). The reason why I haven't updated it is because the SSA office is/was closed when I got my green card. Tomorrow I have to start the paper work for a job, and they asked me to take my SS card. Because of this work restriction, I will explain to them that I wasn't able to go to their office to get it updated, but I am also going to take my EAD and GC so that they know that I am allowed to work. I'm worried that I might lose the job because of this. Any thoughts? TIA

RFE: Civil documents rejected (Argentina) |

Hi, all! I'm in a bit of a conundrum here. I received a response from NVC regarding the uploaded civil documents - birth certificate and marriage certificate were rejected. The message read: "Please replace this with an acceptable birth certificate from a correct issuing authority." That's exactly what I did, but the documents got rejected. In Argentina, birth and marriage records are simple photocopies from the Civil Registry's books - they can also be certified if needed. The copies I had submitted were also legalized with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I'm not sure what's the best way to handle the NVC request for the replacement documents. Any Argentines here who could shed some light? Or anyone at all may have an idea of how to best handle the situation? Thanks much in advance
