How does Combo card approval work?

We filed for I-485 (Spouse of USC) in the first week of July 2020 with Biometrics in the 3rd week of January 2021. There has been radio silence since the biometrics.

USCIS tier 1 representative informed me that the current EAD processing time is 3.5- 11.5 months, and I would have to wait. While AP processing is 3-5 months and the rep went ahead and filed for a service request.

  • Can anyone please tell me if one gets a combo card only after both I-756 and I-131 get approved?
  • Will service request for AP expedite EAD as well?
  • Or, does one get them separately if only AP is approved?

IR1 Refused at interview because I212

We are looking for answers, but not finding any. Maybe someone here can help.

3 years ago, my was refused entry, and given a 5 year bar. The bar is only administrative(in a sense) No major infractions, so no 601 to be filed, should just need to file at field office. We filed our I-130 over two years ago, and just recently went to interview. I have understood that we would need to file the I212 after the interview anyway. At least that's what we were told at every step of the way. And that the consular would tell us where and what to submit

At the interview, everything was fine except at the end. He handed a Refused paper to her, and would not answer any questions. I thought we were very pleasant, be he became very rude and Just kept saying "I'm not helping you, it's in the hands of the USCIS now"

Text of refusal

"This office regrets to inform you that your immigrant visa application is refused because you have been found ineligible to receive a visa under the following sections(s) of the INA.

9A1 212(a)(9)(A)(i) - And sited."

To make things more confusing, the next day we received a phone call from the consulate that we needed to send them her Argentina passport to be stamped. That was more than two weeks ago now. My major concern is that if the best option is to request that it be reviewed(I know this is a dangerous direction because it can actually take even longer than refiling, and cause other issues). Our time is going to run out soon.

To me, this kind of refusal says we have to start over. even their website says we will need to start over. Can anyone help make any sense out this? Or have suggestions?

Hello, i have an appointment for the aos, they re giving me only 15 days to prepare everything. I have everything except the copy of the packet we submitted (we either cant find the copies or didnt make any somehow) - also since i still dont get my work permit, i dont have a ssn so we dont have a lot of marriage evidence other than personal things like pictures. My husband has everything on his name since i dont have credit score or ssn. Would this be a problem? Thank you for the help!

Hello all,
I am US citizen and today the IR2 for my children was denied. The CO explanation was that my children was eligible for a CRBA.
I lived as legal resident more than 5 years in the USA but not as US citizen. As US citizen I was in the USA no more than 3 months.
Reading the requirements my case could fit on the option number 3 of the below image.
My question is, the 5 years period of time living in the USA, had to be as US citizen?
