As an F1 student, you have a restricted social security card. When your green card comes in the mail, and if you get a conditional green card, do yourself a favor and immediately apply for an unrestricted one. In a little bit less than two years, you ll be applying for ROC, which is currently talking anywhere from 1.5-3 years. If you need to change jobs in between, and your extension letter expires, if you don t have an unrestricted SS card you most likely won t be able to get a new job. Both of you do have an unrestricted one, together with a valid DL, you ll be fine as per the I-9. Planning ahead can save you a headache.

Hello I am moving from the K-1 Visa thread to the AOS thread. Looking for any help regarding filing the 485 and 765. We got married last week and was ready to file the two forms when I started reading about also sending in I-693 at the same time. Yes, no? wanted to get the process started but 693 appointment is a month out Thanks Keith

The form N-400 part 9 in the question about trips outside the US, do I need to include travel when I visited my fianc before we were married? We got married three years and four months ago, but I visited him for two years. I appreciate if someone could help me. I'm ready to submit the form but I have this question. I am confused on this question.

Howdy everyone! Hubby and I would like to visit Thailand next year. We are wanting to see beaches and nature. I was wanting to ask here: 1) we are thinking of traveling in July. Is that a good month? 2) what s the nicest beach area to be at? 3) How expensive is it? 4) are there any places to avoid? 5) Are there any tricks ? For example, this month we visited Iguazu. People offer you group tours all the time, but our experience with a driver was so, so much better. Just to give you an example of what I m asking about. Thanks!
