US Immigration from Afghanistan

My husband was asked for remedical after long 4 years AP. So after the new medical how long will it take for the embassy to issue the visa?

My Visa category: F2B Unmarried son/daughter over 21 of Permanent Resident

Can anyone put the timeline of their F2B visa from the NOA1 to the interview stage. I want to know the estimate duration of such a case and the steps involved. So far the following milestones have been reached;

08/19/2014 Received I-130 by USCIS

12/11/2019 Request for Initial evidence by USCIS

My husband's case has been in AP for more than 4 years in US embassy in Kabul Afghanistan. Now his case date changes once a week what does it mean? He was also emailed by the embassy that his previous passport expired and to drop off his new passport. Is that a positive sign? Will we be expecting his visa soon?

Hey ALL,

as you know getting a SSN for a K1 is literally the worst thing ever. We've gone to the SSN office three times now and they still haven't been able to issue a SSN to my now spouse for whatever reason...which they won't tell us. Anyway I wanted to know as tax season is coming up should I apply for an ITIN? And do I need to do that while his visa is still valid?

Please help. Got a respond from embassy saying to drop new pasaport in the dropbox and bring the yellow card and attach a copy of the yellow card to the passport. They said his old passport expired. And said bring a pasaport which is valid for at least 6 months. I dont know what will happen anyone have any idea?
