We wrote first in fall of 2006. I have visited her twice. We are getting married by proxy in Texas June 2010. I have applied for a k-1. She signed proxy wedding papers and had them notorized at the USA embassy Moscow. They were very friendly, professional and helpful. She said after getting home and calling me, "I walked 60 meters and it was like I was in different country, USA TV channel was on, people all speaking English. They seemed concerned I would have to wait. They were only 5 minutes late taking me!" (I told her visit for visa will be a bit different, but the visit reflected normal USA business.) I guess the culture differences are already becoming clear to her. :)
