I met Lia.....online through a dating site match.com in December of 2008. We chatted a little but I was travel extensively overseas to the middle east as a contractor for the US military. We talked on and off for a couple months and when I returned from Kuwait to Virginia and the end of February 2009 my company offered me a year contract in Saudi Arabia starting the first of March. Lia and I talked more frequent and I asked her if she would wait for a year...surprising she said for the right person she would. Well we had not met yet so I took vacation time the end of February in 2009 to travel to Brazil and meet this fantastic woman who I have been talking to for months. She was the delight of my life....a smile that would light up any room and eyes that would make you melt. At this time I felt I made the wrong decission to accept this contract in Saudia Arabia for a year thinking she really wouldn't wait. But I gave my word to my company and I was hoping she would be there when I return. I had my vacation in November of 2009 and we met again in WDC to look where we might live in Virginia...we traveled to Gatlinburg TN and were married. We travel to Indiana and she met my parents and friends. The sad part was I had to return to Saudi Arabia to complete my contract and she returned to Brazil....we talked everynight. Just before my contract was up in March of 2010 I was offered a job back in my home town of Indianapolis IN, close to all my family. I accepted and Lia was excited to find a new life together in the US. She came to Indiana in the spring of 2010 and we located a condo in the heart of the city which she so elequently decorated and furnished. She returned to Brazil to finish her MBA and I continued to work my new position. In January of 2011 she will be finished with her MBA and we hope to have immigration completed by this time where we can truely start our new lives together.
