Our Story
Our Story...where to begin. Well our marriage is like how it was used to be back in the 60's in Bangladesh. The bride or the groom had no idea who they were. Ours was an arranged marriage, setup by my little sister and her parents. After everything was setup, we spoke on the phone for about 6 months before our marriage. In this 6 months we tried to understand each other, but come on, how much can you really know or tell about each other that you never met? The only thing we had was our voice and a single picture of each other. The first time I met my wife was on our wedding night. Man, I got to tell you I was so scared, but come to find out she was pretty cool.
If we didn't talk the past 6 months, I am sure it would have been awkward, but since we knew each other voices, we felt comfortable with each other from the very beginning. Thank god for that...Now, it is soooo hard to stay away from her, even though 12,000 miles are between us, talking to her on the phone everyday makes all the distance disappear.
