  1. My mom is in the Philippines, so I only filed the I-130. She finished her NVC process (The I-864 was included in that filing) and her Embassy process, she got her visa on hand April 15.
  2. Gotcha. We have a time element. We are arriving in the Philippines May 29 and returning June 6 - we anticipate that she will have her visa within a couple of weeks after her April 13 interview. I would rather have her complete the processing in person so she can get both the certificate and the sticker in one visit.
  3. Yes I am able to see that link. I realize they have options for just completing everything online - Mom is 75, so she is exempted from the seminar - what we are thinking of doing is having her complete the process in person - still need to help her register, though. That is the prerequisite. Unless someone can tell me otherwise.
  4. I am aware that she needs visa in hand, thanks. Spent time creating checklists for her and I was able to visit CFO website without issues until a week ago. I just worry that the blocking will continue until we are ready to register her, which I don't want. We have the VPN as a back up if it is still blocking us.
  5. Up to a week ago, I was able to access the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) website but last Thursday I started getting a 403 Forbidden error message. I have a VPN (which is currently turned off by default because I have a secure WiFi connection), so as an experiment, I tried switching my region from United States to a different country, used HK - and I was able to load the site properly then. Has anyone encountered this? My mom's interview is in April and I am supposed to help her register, so she can obtain her CFO certificate prior to departure. Changing my region is a last resort for me, it would just be helpful to know how I can address this. Thanks.
  6. You can try, but as someone else mentioned, if SLEC required additional testing, treatment or documentation outside of their two-day (average) process, then no. You will want 1 to 2 weeks between the interview and the medical. LBC Delivery is 5 to 7 business days within Metro Manila. May be quicker if you pick it up at MOA, but that doesn't include the time it takes the Embassy to generate the visa. Once she has completed her interview, she has to turn in her passport. If the Embassy puts her case in 221g administrative processing, once the documentation is available, her passport should be submitted with whatever the Embassy requests. Please consider also she needs to depart the Philippines before her medical exam expires.
  7. That's in the NVC Visa Bulletin. They release updates every month.
  8. Yes, a 2x2 passport photo is required. It must be colored with a white background. Child must be facing forward (staring straight at camera) and not smiling.
  9. US Embassy uses CGI for scheduling IV interviews: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/
  10. Just wondering: Has your PSA document become available?
  11. Both fees have to be in PAID status before you can upload anything. Your status should change soon. In the meantime, you can start completing the I-864 and collecting supporting documents for both the AOS and the IV application.
  12. You need to print out the interview date confirmation from CGI to schedule the medical exam. This is ideal. If you don't, SLEC will still accommodate your beneficiary - but the beneficiary will be asked to sign a waiver stating that they understand that the medical exam results expire within 3 to 6 months and SLEC are not liable or at fault if your beneficiary fails to secure an interview date before their medical results expire. Please visit the SLEC website: https://slec.ph/
  13. Your Welcome Letter should have the subject: Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation. Your case number (starts with MNL) and invoice number will be there.
