I personally enjoy swimming, traveling, learning new languages, doing mission work, singing, being with friends, and spending time with Jorge. As a couple, we enjoy traveling, watching movies/ Friends, eating out, and going to the sauna. :P

Our Story
Jorge and I met in March of 2006 in Lima, Perú. I was in my senior year of high school and was on a mission trip with my choir. He was in his sophomore year of college and also sang in a group that represented his university. His group would accompany our choir every night when we would tour different churches in Lima. I spoke very little Spanish and his English was even worse. We communicated through a bilingual friend at least a little. I could tell by the way he sang that he was sincere and, most importantly, wanted to praise God. He kissed me right before I left, but we obviously decided to just be friends because I thought I would never return to Perú. To make a long story short, I received a proposal to do mission work teaching English in Lima for a year during the summer of 2006. Although I was anxious to being starting college, God opened all the correct doors. I accepted the offer and started a new life in Perú. He was beside me all along and helped me get adjusted to Peruvian life... after a few weeks, we could communicate more and we decided to give dating a try. We have been together since August 2006 despite having lived apart since July 2007..... it's hard but I've been able to visit on my breaks and it's so worth the effort. We plan on applying for his fiance visa in May 2009 and getting married in June 2010. God has been so great to us and we have overcome huge obstacles because of his mercy. His is my best friend and I can't wait to live the rest of my life with him and start a new life together in the U.S. Please let us know if you have any advice on the visa!
