    Hi Crazy Cat, What is a certified translation? Can I have my father who is a linguist translate and certify the birth certificate and other forms that require translation? He is a linguist and is also fluent in the foreign language. Thanks, Julia

    It is my understanding that Mozambique does not process K1 visas. My beneficiary will be going to South Africa for the interview and medical appointment. From our research, it seems to take about 1 month to get an interview in SA. I appreciate you looking out on our behalf.

    Happy to hear you will get to spend part of the holidays and birthday with your fiancé. Wishing you the best of luck! I’m still holding onto hope that there’s a chance my fiancé can be here by Christmas. We were wanting an NYE wedding.

    NVC is currently working on 9/16 cases and my NOA2 notice date was 8/31.

    I sent the inquiry 9/29. They responded today. Do you think it would be worthwhile sending them a copy of my I-797?

    Where did you find the USCIS status update? I’m in the same boat. NOA2 approved August 30th. Submitted an inquiry to NVC and they said they have not received it yet.

    @apnzz According to TMVN, USCIS has halted processing submissions May 30 and beyond. Hopefully, this means they will now be working on the ones that were skipped.

    Thank you so much for that. How did you receive packet 3? Was it via email or mail? It seems like it took a couple months to receive it.
