  1. Are you angry? I’m not going to explain what many already know and understand about filing this. It’s been explained many times lol. Research is out there. Good luck
  2. It appears that many people have filed for the K3 but they have added it to their timeline or Visajourney doesn't have a way to track it properly. So far many people that have filed for the K3 have had their I-130 approved in 12 months or less. Of course not all and they're are exceptions. However it is worth tracking and considering filing for this option. I would like to follow along with others that have filed and are currently waiting. You can view my timeline in my signature; I will update as changes happen.
  3. Nobody is filing for the K3 to get the K3. If you don't understand the concept of it, it is best to just stay with the I-130 😂 good luck
  4. Filing the K3 only makes sense if you are going to apply immediately after the i-130. If you wait a few months then it can cancel out any benefits you would've received. Some benefits I think you can get from submitting the K3 is how soon you can submit questions. But again if you wait more than 3 months to submit then you are just giving the I-129F application the same amount of time as the I-130. My I-129F application is giving me an estimate time of 10 months and I can ask questions as soon as June 20, 2025. My I-130 is currently saying 15.5 months is the processing time on USCIS and it shows I can't ask any questions until Feb 1, 2026. The I-129F processing time has reached their goal of 6 months so it could be possible that I hear back soon. If I don't hear back it will lead me to believe they are either ignoring the K3 or have a completely different process from the K1 or it may get sent elsewhere or placed in a different pile. Either way I will be using the time frame given to me on when I can inquire since they have not officially stated they have cancelled the K3 or are not processing them.
  5. I read that if they do not respond or are hard to get a hold of, email usmeds@amhosp.org Let them know the situation
  6. I submitted an expedite request for humanitarian reasons. I spoke to a Tier 2 officer and then I received an email notice confirming my request meets the minimum requirements and it was sent to the office that has my case. My questions are: Can I track my expedite request? (have seen online that people have been able to track their expedite request but I don't see that option anywhere for me.) Has anyone ever received the notice that your request meets the min requirements? If so what was the outcome for you?
  7. T Thank you, we have all read these comments and understand that. lol thank you This is for people that like to see and compare their timelines with others
  8. Thank you for posting yours. I bet there is actually something that triggers the date to change, whether it is workflow, other applications getting processed, or background checks being received. Either way there is something triggering it and the more people compare theirs we might find some method to the madness. This is mine FILED I130 3/22/2024 2 months 3/26/2024 5 WKS 4/10/2024 2 months 4/11/2024 - Action take and status changed to: Actively reviewing 17 months 4/24/2024 FILED I129F 4/24/2024 5 months 5/7/2024 4 months 5/14/2024
  9. I know that we have all realized by now that the myProgress time is not accurate. But I was wondering if there was a pattern or something that triggers the estimates to change. "Yes I am reaching for anything to ease my mind." This is my timeline so far: FILED I130 3/22/2024 2 months 3/26/2024 5 weeks 4/10/2024 2 months 4/11/2024 - Action was taken (Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS) 17 months 4/24/2024 - sent in form I-129F 5 months 5/7/2024
  10. Also have you been checking your status? I believe you will receive a 221G form stating medical is not approved. Once your medical is cleared you will go into AP, until your visa is approved and issued. Which can take 4-6 weeks.
  11. I would not risk sending your Passport out. I see there is a Visa Navigator form on the embassies website that can assist you with this. https://jm.usembassy.gov/visa-navigator/
