  1. I went through this with my original NOA1. The same letter kept getting bounced back and forth and we never did get it (we had 4 document returned statuses during the process!!!). Our case got approved with no issues despite being on that status. A document returned status has nothing to do with your case being 'actively reviewed' or 'being put on hold'. I know this caused me a lot of anxiety but rest assured your case is getting looked at. A returned mail isn't an issue unless for some reason the NOA2 can't be sent to you and keeps getting returned (and that's only because you need it for the rest of the process.) We actually ended up getting two copies of the NOA2 sent to us simultaneously (we think the officer saw we were having some issues and did it out of goodwill) Hope that helps, I really don't know how this thread has had so many replies that have nothing to do with what you were asking and I am sorry that's probably confused you further.
  2. Guys it was literally a question about whether I could still visit the US even after filing the DS160 and booking an interview as those details would then be incorrect. This has nothing to do with me being denied at the border. I know I would be let through. I have an ESTA, I am a teacher so I don't work in my holidays and visited 3 times with ample time in between each visit with no issues in this process. In fact, last time I went, the officer even joked saying I was 'the gift' after he asked if I brought any gifts for my fiance and I said no I found inconclusive answers (not a substantial amount of personal experiences) of people travelling in between DS160 submission and their interview to make me feel comfortable risking it, so we have decided against it and will wait the 5 months. If we are desperate we will try and do a visit in the UK but money is tight with immigration, a pricey move and multiple wedding ceremonies pending ha!
  3. Ah okay, so would you do that as you hand over the papers in the first stage or when you get asked the questions after all that?
  4. it’s more the risk of the DS160 not being accurate because I can’t put a future trip down and then being denied the k-1 visa at interview stage if that’s possible?
  5. Yeah I am thinking the same, that I don't think I can take this risk... wanted to book the interview in June (my NOA2 expires in July so I have to at least book an interview date before then) visit in July and have my interview in August but in order to do that I'll need to file the DS160 in June and that means the information will be inaccurate... Otherwise I won't see them until October. Rather hoping there is a way they can come to me for a week in the summer perhaps but in the US it's so difficult to get paid time off. The longest we have gone is 3 months apart, but I guess the next time we will be together it will be forever and 4 and a bit months will fly by.
  6. Hello all, As the title says. I want to visit my fiance in between filing the DS160 and going to the interview as I am not planning to move for a couple of months after receiving the visa. Is that possible? I am UK based. Thanks,
