  1. Hello, Did you end up getting your green card? My wife's case is the same. Arrived in US on 4th Oct Went to SSN office on 7th Nov as we didn't receive the Ssn yet , they asked us to wait a month. Received letter for re-biometrics on Dec 3rd for appointment on 27th Dec They just took photograph no fingerprints, Currently waiting or will check with Emma in a month.
  2. Thank you! I've also found another case of a case of passport reissue after the ds260. Just need to get it done before the interview!
  3. Thanks. Would I be able to apply for a passport after the NVC ds260 submission Stage? Trying to reduce our waiting time. New passport takes around 30 days in my country. Wait time between DQ and interview letter is 2-2.5months, so we'd like to use that time to reissue.
  4. I've seen in a lot of forum posts that the married name is put on the green card, and maiden stays on the passport. How would that happen? And I've seen lots of instances.
  5. Thanks, yes we are going to add the married name in the alias of the ds260
  6. Would we be able to get the green card issued under the new marriage name? If we were to keep the passport the same until the interview?
  7. Hello, We have a peculiar case. My wife's name is A B C D(surname) on her passport Let's say my name is X Y(surname) On the marriage certificate we got my wife's changed to C A B Y(my surname). C is her actual name, for some reason her parents kept her middle name first in the passport and birth certificate when she was little. Now we are on the NVC stage. Seems like changing passport name might take a month. Can we submit the NVC ds260 as per passport name and later give the officer the updated name change passport at interview? ( NVC to interview is taking around 2-3months processing time and delaying ds260 submission would delay that) On the i130 I mentioned C A B Y as her main name, and A B C D as her alias.
  8. Hello, I am still waiting for our approval , pd- Feb, 25 2023 on the i130 for my spouse who lives abroad. I am a US citizen But prepping for the next steps. Question: In the forums I hear that for the i-864 if I upload 3 years of past income tax transcripts, I have a greater chance of approval and no rfe. This is how my income on my tax transcripts look like ~rough estimates to hide details 2020 - 7k~ ( worked out of country) 2021 - 40k+ (Moved to the US, new job, higher salary) 2022 - 100k+ Will this be fine or will they RFE me due to my 2020 tax return way under the poverty line? Might be too much ask for a joint sponsor, I'll have to look at my options and ask around if that is reallllly needed. This is if I were to get the approval in this month for example. I would also submit income statements for the past 12months as additional proofs as well. I have an income of 110k+ from 2023. I will start submitting my taxes End of February, that's when i get all my tax documents from the brokerages, etc. I will probably not be able to get my Tax transcript until March/April/May probably (I'm doing a Paper filing with MFS).
