  1. USCIS replied on 13 November stating: "The status of this service request is: You contacted USCIS to provide your updated address. We updated your address to: XXX X XXXX, USA" This response seems like a non-sequitur since the purpose of the service request was for "Non-Delivery of Permanent Resident Card". Hoping to see an update there soon. As for the Social Security issue, I called again today and the rep said that we should just re-apply for a social security card because it's been too long and they can't find my wife's name in the database. I have no idea what could have gone wrong here, but it is what it is.
  2. An update on my situation. Still haven't received the SSN after applying on October 5. Called a few times and SSA reps stated that first time immigrants sometimes have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to receive card and they don't have any way to track it. Sent an e-request to USCIS on October 16 asking about the physical green card. Automated email stated to wait until November 15 for a reply.
  3. Immigrant Visa Fee Paid: 20 May 2023 POE: 28 August 2023 46 days and counting. Went to local SSA office to apply for SSN. Waiting on that and the physical green card now. Still on the "Immigrant Visa Fee Payment Received" status on https://egov.uscis.gov/
  4. To update everyone, my wife is now in the U.S. 🙌 but the immigration officer did not have the current address as changed in the AR-11 and as confirmed in a message from USCIS. I don't know where the disconnect is, but providing the updated address to the immigration officer will suffice. Looking forward to getting her green card and ss card in the mail now!
  5. Hey everyone, my wife received her temporary green card in her passport and will be coming to the U.S. in a few months on an IR1. I've already moved to the U.S. but to a location different than the one listed in the I-130 and DS-260. I've already submitted an online change of address request to USCIS on behalf of my wife and myself and have received emails confirming receipt of request. On the email, it states that we should expect a reply by a certain date, but it's already past that date. Where should we expect a reply? Via mail or email? Is there anywhere I can check to see the status of the address change? How can I make sure that my wife won't encounter any issues from the immigration officer when she arrives? Thank you!
  6. Great! Thank you. Would you happen to know if that's where the Social Security card is mailed to as well?
  7. I got this message after paying for the USCIS Immigrant Fee. "Confirm Your U.S. Mailing Address To Receive Your Green Card Now that you have paid your USCIS Immigrant Fee, USCIS will prepare to mail your Green Card to the U.S. mailing address you gave the Department of State (DOS) at your visa interview. To ensure that we send your Green Card to your correct address, create a USCIS Online Account to verify or update your U.S. mailing address." I'm guessing that would mean the DS-260 address, but I'm not sure. Also I don't see anywhere in my USCIS account where I can verify a mailing address.
  8. We just received my wife's passport with the temporary visa stamp (sticker) and paid for the $220 USCIS Immigrant Fee. Which address will the physical green card be mailed to? Is it the address we entered in Form I-130 #12.a. or the Permanent Address listed in our DS-260?
  9. Interview was 5/2. CEAC status changed from Ready to AP that day. Been stuck in AP since. Today "Case Last Updated" date changed from 2-May-2023 to 19-May-2023 and just now the status changed to Issued. 🙌 Trust the process. We've all come this far and we're going to cross the finish line soon.
  10. Would you mind to share how was the interview in TPE?

I believe I got my transcripts online and just printed them. I don't know whether that constitutes originals or copies. Just double check you have everything in order in order to avoid unnecessary delays.

First two windows are manned by Taiwanese personnel and the third is an American consular officer, but they all speak Chinese. So your mom should be ok on the language front if that was a concern.

Thanks for the info, I also downloaded from IRS and printed out. I will bring my W2. She will be fine, did nonimmigrant visa interview few times. This time just is different since it's immigrant visa.

      Thanks
