  1. I am curious as well. My wife is wanting to fly home to Vietnam for Tet in January. Her VN passport and GC with marriage license will suffice, as I understand it? State ID/Social Security card as backup or no?
  2. Congrats! Now on to AOS and the (slightly less than 129) headaches it entails! FYI, I received an RFE for our I-864 because I did not provide proof of my US citizenship with it. Seems silly as our 129 was approved, etc, but nonetheless I received it.
  3. The engagement ceremony, "Le Dinh Hon" does not cause any issues as far as the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City is concerned, speaking specifically about Vietnam. I would go so far as to say that NOT having it would draw more questions than having it. It is a well known custom there, so no, you do not appear to be "too married" as it is not a wedding. I used many photos of ours as proof of relationship, as did a friend of mine and both our (now) spouses passed the interview with no issues and are here in the US.
  4. Hey man! Seth. I just went through the whole K1 process. Got her conditional greencard a month ago. Shoot me a message.

  7. Filed May 16 RFE May 28 for proof of my citizenship RFE Response received June 3 Approved today, August 7 No interview
  8. May 16th AOS filer. Received an RFE May 28th due to me not providing proof of citizenship with the I-864. I had assumed that was already established since we were granted the K1 Visa in January. Uploaded evidence to USCIS account and we went to Biometrics June 16th. Good luck to all Seth
