  1. @Pat2Boswe completed the visa processing outside US at the embassy. This post was for i-90 replacement, just received incorrect original physical green card
  2. Hello, My wife arrived to the US in June 2024 after being married for more than two years. Married June 1 2022 and arrived June 11 2024. Had interview at embassy January 2024. She received a 2 year cr1 visa in error two months after arrival. Filed an I 90 for replacement online in september 2024, but it never asked when or where to return the incorrect original green card (filed online with uscis account). 9 months later the correct replacement, ir1 10 year visa, arrived in the mail. My question is what do we do with the original physical green card made in error (2 year cr1 green card)?
  3. Good news, received new 10 year green card after waiting 9.25 months. Applied in September for i 90 replacement. Much faster than expected! My question is I applied online and it didn't ask me to return the 2 year green card that was sent in error? Where do I send it back or do I keep it until applying for citizenship in a few years when eligible?

  5. Hello, i request through my uscis account an i 90 in September 2024, it's now april 2025. I received a 2 year green card when I should have received a 10 year green card as I only arrived after two years of marriage for my initial arrival date with a cr1 visa (issued before two years of marriage) which becomes ir1 on arrival correct as i arrived after two years of marriage and a few extra days to be safe. Why is it taking many months already? What should I do if the 10 year green card doesnt arrive before the current 2 year green card expires (june 2026)?
  6. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt on the uscis website, says average i-90 processing time is only 1.2 months currently. Is this accurate? I thought it would take a year plus. (Just filed I-90 a few days ago).
  7. Wife sent in i-90 due to mistake of cr1 instead of ir1. She filed i-90 online and sent in scanned copy of physical green card with online application. She has her scheduled biometrics coming up soon. Will she be able to keep her mistake green card after biometrics or will uscis take the physical green card while at biometrics appointment?
  8. @top_secretwe filed the i-90 online, sent in scanned copy of green card. My wife has her biometics scheduled in two weeks. Do they keep the physical green card when she goes to biometrics because the form says she has to bring physical card to biometrics? Or is she able to hold on the physical mistake green card?
  9. Yes 10 days after 2nd anniversary, wanted to be safe but didn't work in my case
  10. @Lil bearI got the ir1 stamp in passport when i arrived to the country. What do you mean a stamp from service center? Is this near when the green card will expire? It just was issued since I arrived in june? Can you further explain this stamp?
  11. Are you saying keep the green card until they file a RFE for the actual green card, because I read that a requirement is to send in the incorrect green card to be issued a new one?
  12. Hello, Today I received my green card in the mail. We are very frustrated as followed exactly what visa journey said to do. I married my USC husband june 1st, 2022. I received the cr1 visa January 2024 from the us embassy in peru. I traveled to the US june 11th, 2024 for my first arrival to the US. It was after the two year wedding anniversary. The officer at customs in Florida marked IR1 visa entry. However, I received a two year cr 1 visa in the mail, more than two months after arrival. Should I send in the i-90 immediately and mark incorrect visa issued? Should I just remove conditions in two years? I have read online the i-90 can take a year or more to process.
  13. My wife arrived june 11th to the US at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. She was over two years married on arrival date even though she had CR1 visa. Officer stamped it as IR1 visa entry. Green card has still not arrived and its August now. How long is the actual time until the physical Green Card arrives in the mail? Is it averaging 2 to 3 months after arrival? We paid the immigrant fee before her arrival and social security card arrived one week after her arrival in the mail.
  14. Hello, I have my cr1 interview next week at us embassy in lima, peru. I submitted to ceac my three police certificates for peru in August 2023. On the certificates, it says there is a validity of three months. I got new police certificates this month in physical form. Do I need to update these to ceac before the interview? At minimum I will bring the new and old police certificates in physical form to interview? When I talked to my lawyer, they said I didn't need to upload the new police certificates to ceac as the ones from august 2023 are less than two years old. I didn't receive any email from embassy asking for updated police forms, but read on visajourney threads before that they can ask for updated police certificates and if they do they would need a copy uploaded to ceac. I'm sure if they ask then it would result in a 221g and delay processing of visa. Am I over thinking and just go to interview with physical copy of new police certificates?
  15. I have my interview in peru embassy next week for cr1 visa. I have read conflicting information here. For the police certificates, are they only valid for three months? Or two years as it says on us government embassy page. I have the physical copy of the new police checks from this month, but when I asked my lawyer, said it wasn't necessary to upload new police certificates as the old ones are from august 2023 when was sent to NVC and less than two years old.
