  1. I ended up writing my state representative, here in Washington, and received the NOA finally. Apparently, lockbox didn't pick up the package for a month, which delayed the process. I am now waiting for the biometric interview.
  2. I'm in the same boat. I married my wife immediately and sent in her AOS right away, by fedex. It is now going on 3 months and we haven't received an NOA1 yet. I wrote my state representative also 2 weeks ago and haven't hear back from them either.
  3. Hello everyone, I filed an adjustment of status (along with the work permit and travel authorization) 2 months ago but haven't received a notice of action yet. I wrote the lockbox and was told they would send a courier to pick up the package but haven't hear back. That was a month ago. Is this normal? I understand that I have to wait, I'm just getting concerned that the package might be lost along with the money orders. The fedex tracking number shows it was delivered.
  4. Just and update. My now wife is here, with my stepdaughter. Sadly, my oldest stepdaughter didn't make it (she passed 3 months ago). I really am heartbroken and will forever wish I had the chance to get to know her. So far we are doing as well as can be, and have filed our Adjustment of status, Travel, and employment authorization paper work. It has been a month and we haven't gotten our NOA yet, but I am confident that it will be here soon. Again, thank you all for your responses.
  5. Her daughters weren't planning on coming with her. They want to live on their own and finish college, unfortunately. We just received an approval pdf from NVC, saying they will now send the application to Spain. I'm sure that will take some time, so I will talk to her and find out what she wants to do. Yeah, I just moved to Seattle but am originally from New York. It's funny because I service xray equipment at your hospital as well.
  6. Thank you so much. So should she bring that to the interview and just tell them there? Thank you also for the kind words in regards to my stepdaughter. She is my heart and I want her to be ok, first and foremost.
  7. Thank you, this is good info. I appreciate your time.
  8. Our K1 visa was approved by both UCIS and NVC, and is being sent to the embassy, in Spain. But, my fiancé's daughter (20), was diagnosed with Leukemia so my fiance is staying with her while she is being treated. My question is, is there a way to delay the Visa? Obviously, my future step-daughter's health comes first, but I just wanted to see if anyone has been through something like this?
  9. Be sure to mail the letter in as quick as possible. I mailed it to the California USCIS and also sent a copy of a plane ticket, showing I was again going to meet my fiancé. I also included more recent pictures of us together. 24000 Avila Rd, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
  10. Just an update (I am being respectful here and keep in mind, I have listened to all of feedback given and not argued with anyone here. My goal is just to help someone, who might be in a similar situation) The visa was in fact cancelled. I called and also wrote a letter, right away and they reconsidered, thus reinstating the k1 visa. In the letter, I provided more pictures and a recent ticket showing that I am going on vacation with my fiancé, in Germany. It then was approved recently. Again, I FULLY accepted the responsibility that canceling the visa would have caused. This update is only to possibly help someone who might be in a similar situation, BUT, I suggest not canceling the visa in the first place.....I get it. (Her daughter has BPD for anyone who knows what that is and if you don't I hope you never find out)
  11. Will do. I'll plan on doing a marriage visa this time. Might actually work out better.
  12. Thanks. I sent another letter and notarized it. Hopefully it works out. If not then we will just start over. Thanks for the responses.
  13. I sent a letter to cancel my visa, as my fiancé and I broke up. It ended up being a HUGE misunderstanding by her daughter. I just wanted to know has any of you sent another letter in to "un-cancel?" I don't want to go through the process all over again. So far nothing has been cancelled yet.
