Just got off the phone with "Emma" and I feel like it's really a hit or miss depending on who you talk to. Today's rep just summarized the status of my I-485 as shown in the USCIS, which is:
November 1, 2022 Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction (this was NBC - I received the notice for this)
October 31, 2022 Your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, was transferred to another office for processing.
July 11, 2022 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, were taken.
June 2, 2022 We accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Our Nebraska Service Center location is working on your case.
I was really hoping to get an understanding of 2 things: which field office has my case now? Should we expect an interview or not?
I called 6 weeks ago and the USCIS rep shared that my case went from NBC to Albuquerque. And the Rep I spoke to in November shared that they thought my GC would be approved in 4-5 months. Based on what - I don't know. Anyway, given all of this, I decided to try my luck and get an update today, to see if there would be any updates.
The rep did not even share that my case was in Albuquerque and just told me to wait to receive notices. They also told me that in terms of processing times, as my case was tranferred to another office, I should check the processing time for my area (in my case, Seattle). Def a big increase vs where it was originally filed (Seattle 25 months vs Nebraska 18 months).
Oh well........... I guess we'll just need to have a little bit more patience.......
