  1. She does aware of those and hopefully she’ll do a good job at explaining them. She took an English course in person in Turkey as well but couldn’t learn English well. So that’s why she wants to go to a native English speaker country to study. Thank you for the answer. Hoping for her the best.
  2. Yes it is. I meant, we did the complexed immigration process by ourselves so we could help her with the simple student visa as well. Sorry about the confusion there. I am just wondering if the embassy would even look at that insignificant receipt. That's all.
  3. Well, she wanted everything easy because she doesn't know how to do things. My husband and I were going to help her with the whole process because we did our I-130 by ourselves without any RFE or setback but she wanted to go with an agency.. Anyway, yeah she does show funds to cover everything. And you know, after your interview the embassy would send your passport back. So if you want it to an address that you choose, you have to pay the delivery fee (I'm sure you guys know what it is, just being more clear). So I paid that fee and my name shows up on the receipt. She asked about to the agency if it's okay and they said it might have get her a denial. Do you have any info about it that the embassy would make it an issue?
  4. Hello everyone, I wanna ask something for my friend. My friend has applied to a language school in NYC and she has an appointment this week. I'm a green card holder, married to a USC and living in the USA almost a year now. I'm living in California. So, here's the thing; I paid my friend's passport delivery service online and on the receipt, it's my name and American home address. We are kinda freaking out because her agency that she's doing the visa process through said that having a friend in the US is an absolute denial. Is that true? I mean, I'm aware that no one can answer that 100% but what are the changes? Again, it's just the passport delivery service, nothing else. But her agency is insist to put my name on her DS-160 as "US Contacts". Neither I or my husband is sponsoring her. She's working in Turkey as an HR specialist and want to learn English to move up in her career. Sorry for the mixed-up story; I wanted to learn if it makes a difference for me to pay the passport delivery fee and having my name on the receipt? And do they check that document at all? Thank you. All answers are appreciated.
  5. Oh yeah, I’ve been living in the US for the past month but I’ve got my İL on June 26th and my interview date was Aug 22nd. The first entry to the US was Sep 15th
  6. IL received on June 26th and Interview is on Aug 22 at Ankara Embassy
  7. Update; after the second RFI we finally got approved and DQed on May 17th. PS: Second RFI was about because we didn't rotate the document 90 degrees! 😒
  8. Yeah it’s really stupid and made us wait longer than it was supposed to be. No, I didn’t upload joint birth certificates which contains my maiden and marriage surnames. Though I uploaded my whole family certificate as jointly with my birth certificate that they can see my parents and siblings with the same (my maiden) surname. Hopefully they’ll accept it this time. Lol.
  9. NVC didn’t accept it. USCIS had it with my maiden name so they accepted it. And yeah I took it from e-government but it said rejected. All the other documents were accepted. It contained my maiden last name as well actually under the section of “explanations” but it had my marriage last name on the top.
  10. Thank you, I guessed that too. But it wasn't a required document though. All the required documents are already accepted on the petitioner's section.. I hope they won't restart the waitng time. 🥺
  11. Hello all, I wanted to submit my dates and ask something. We submitted on April 6th and got RFI on April 19th because they rejected my (beneficiary's) birth certificate. We resubmitted my birth certificate on the same day and waiting for being DQed.. The thing I want to ask is; they sent a message to us via the system and asked to submit "2022 W-2/1099 form for my husband" which they already accepted everything before that.. is that a problem? We submitted it on April 25th but would it cause us more delay? Ps: You guys can add us on the chart. Thanks.
  12. Thank you for the advice. We did, they did reject my birth certificate because I accidently uploaded the one with my marriage last name instead of the one with my maiden last name (Because on our e-government system' after a woman get married the government closes the previous last names but still able to get a document of the previous ones). So we did it and everything is good now.. hopefully. We didnt get any other rejection or something. All the other documents are accepted.
  13. We submitted documents on April 6th and got RFE on April 19th.. So still waiting. I know most of you guys are waiting longer than us but I just want to get some idea of how long we have to wait for the interview.. 🥺
