  1. Yes, it means that you are documentarily qualified. Congrats and good luck with the rest of the process.
  2. Did anyone receive interview letters for July? From Pak Immigration USA updates, it seems that they skipped the month of July. It's crushing to be honest.
  3. I got DQ'd yesterday. Now, a long wait begins for the ILs. My prayers are with all of you. I hope you guys get your ILs ASAP. May Allah have mercy on all of us!
  4. After uploading the same marriage documents for the third time, but with a letter strongly urging them to follow their own guidelines and accept the documents, we were DQ'd yesterday. Now the long wait for the coveted interview at the Islamabad consulate continues. They have not even started interviewing the 2022 folks yet. And at this rate, we expect to get an interview letter some time in 2025. Meanwhile, I'll prepare an expedite request and try my luck. Otherwise, Just planning to save 2k every year for a round trip ticket to Pak to see my husband until the wait is over. I pray that everyone here will get to be with their families sooner than later!!!
  5. @aaroncv3 Did you get any update after your FE message. I got the same message too just a couple of days ago that I don't meet the financial requirements and the interview officer would decide. And that I should find a joint sponsor. I didn't make enough money last year as I was unemployed and was looking for work. But I got hired at the beginning of this year and make enough money now. I submitted a letter from employer stating my salary and paystubs from the past three months. I submitted an inquiry to NVC asking if it means that they would still send my package to the consulate and let the interview officer decide, or should I find a joint sponsor and my case won't move forward unless I do. I just got a cookie cutter response that we sent you a message and follow instructions. It seems that they didn't read my question at all. Oh well! The other thing was about my marriage certificate. For my country they require two documents for marriage proof. I uploaded both documents in a single PDF file. They rejected it saying that they need two documents per the country requirements. I asked about it in the inquiry saying that I uploaded both documents in a single file. So, what's the reason for rejection? I got the same cookie cutter response that we sent you a message and please follow the instructions. I'm at loss. I guess I'll just reupload each document separately. They did say in the instructions that the documents of same type should be uploaded in a single file. So, I was just following the instructions. This is so confusing! And they don't seem to read and answer questions.
  6. Does NVC send welcome email to both the petitioner and the beneficiary?
  7. There really is no way of knowing that. I got my RFE on Feb 28. Uploaded my response on March 1 and got approval on March 2. My friend got a similar RFE and got approval after a month. In the letter they give you 60 days to respond. So technically they can take all that time to respond too. Hang in there and hopefully they'll take an action soon.
  8. Case approved!!! So happy and relieved! I submitted my RFE response last night. Even though it was March 1, the status immediately changed to: on March 2, we received your response and have started working on your case again. I have received 5 emails from USCIS this morning that they have taken an action on my case. I checked an hour ago, the status was same as last night and no new document. So I was frustrated with all these emails from them. Like why are you bothering me? Then I decided to check again now, as I thought if they keep sending me emails there must be something. The status changed to active review again. And there was the approval notice in the documents!
  9. Well! I have news too, but it's not a good one. After 367 days, I got an RFE. They asked for a document that cannot be issued. I asked a friend who got a similar RFE, and she sent a letter in response explaining why this document cannot be issued. I'm just super frustrated that they sent an RFE this late. Like they could have sent it earlier when they did the initial review. Now, I'll send a response to this RFE and God knows how long they'll take to review it again. God have mercy on me! I did not anticipate this RFE because I have submitted everything they asked for on the checklist. So you can get an RFE super late in the process too.
  10. Also congrats to those of us getting approved! It's filling me with a lot of hope! My pd is Feb 26, case transferred from Potomac to Texas. Really hoping I'll hear something soon too! I hope all of us are reunited with our loved ones soon!
  11. Hello brother! I filed for my husband in Pakistan. His passport was expired at the time. I filed it with his expired passport number. He is getting it renewed now. I don't plan on uploading his renewed passport. I don't think it will cause any problems. If I remember correctly, the passport question was optional when filing i-130. Also, at the time of the interview you are supposed to have a passport with at least six months left. So if the passport is going to expire, it's better to renew it now. They will ask you to renew it later.
  12. Bumping this thread! Have there been any approvals? I filed mine on Feb 26. The receipt notice was from Potomac. Active review since May 3. Fingers crossed it gets approved soon!
