  1. Yes. From what I see, that was the only error. I just thought they would tell you the specific reason? I'm just a bit worried about resubmitting it with just that change since it says it can only be corrected once without the whole thing getting denied and having to spend all the time and money doing it over again.
  2. Hey Everyone, We got an RFE on the I-864 Affidavit of Support, but they did not specify the reason at all. It starts with "You did not submit a properly completed and signed form..." followed by two pages of basic instructions. I've combed through the form we submitted and noticed a mistake with the household size due to an issue with the PDF reader. I couldn't include myself and forgot to correct it with a pen, so it says a family size of 1. Would this be enough for an RFE? I am a US citizen but had been living and working in my Wife's country for the last several years. The only other reason I could think of is that although I filed taxes last year, I was on a foreign contract, paid in their currency. I had the tax documents but not a W2 providing the income. We have since moved back to the US, so I sent in a letter from my company stating my income and recent pay stubs. I am a high earner, far above the required income, but I had only been working in the US for a couple of months at the time of filing. Does the household size seem to be the reason, or is it something else? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks so much!
  3. Thanks for letting me know. Something else came to mind. Do they charge the card number I submitted with it before doing anything? Will I end up having to pay twice? Would it be worth doing something like canceling the credit card to prevent it from happening? Thanks!
  4. No. Would it be worth assuming it will be rejected and sending in the entire package now, or do I need to wait for the rejection? I have been trying to call but am struggling to get past the AI.
  5. Ok thanks! I guess they had the same assumption by looking at timelines.
  6. The first question on I-485 is the A-number, and it does not say "if any" so I assume it will get rejected 😕
  7. Really? Where are you seeing that? From these timelines, it seems like a few days, or am I misinterpreting the filing date? https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,9,10,11&op6=&op8=All&xfr=&vtype=0&interview=
  8. Hey everyone, We just realized we had confused the confirmation number for the A number printed on DS-160. It has the same number of characters and starts with AA. We submitted all of the paperwork for the AOS with the incorrect A-number. It will be obvious to them that it is incorrect as the one we had filled in has both numbers and letters. I assume the application will be rejected, but is there a chance it won't? Is there anything we can do in the meantime to speed up the process, or do we have to wait for the rejection? For reference, it has been 21 days since we mailed in the application, and we have not received anything yet, which seems a bit odd. Thanks for the help!
  9. Thanks @maryliz and I am sorry for your loss. It is at a late stage, they are not planning on doing treatment, so we know it is just a matter of time. She's fairly young, and lived a very healthy lifestyle, so just figured it might be on the longer side of the typical life expectancy. My Fiancé did exactly as you said this morning, and went to the doctors with her. They are only expecting months, so the visa is now 1 less thing to worry about. Thanks for your help and support.
  10. Thanks for this @Redro This would probably be the best solution. She does have an ESTA I just hadn't read into at what stages of the process you can and can't use it as a way of entering. Unfortunately, the doctors further news this morning was that we are only looking at Months. It doesn't look like we will need to prolong anything.
  11. Okay, thank you. Unfortunately the math will probably add up to work out, but we will have to see how things play out in the coming weeks. If you had told us a week ago we we're looking at Jan / Feb we would be ecstatic. Seems like regardless we will have to be state side around there. I was fishing for loop holes to still have the ceremony with the ability to return, or family emergency exceptions, but with most visa things, there are none. Most likely will not be needed.
  12. Ya of course. It could be a few months, or it could be over a year. I am just seeking if there are any options for peace of mind.
  13. In hindsight, it would have been better. Even before this. At this point, we are already pretty deep into the process, and restarting would not make the wedding ceremony possible unless the times significantly decrease.
  14. Hello, I, the petitioner, currently live in my Fiancé's country. We have watched the expected time decrease over the last months for our I-129f, and the current projection for the NOA2 is now late October. This week, we got some unfortunate news that her mother has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Treatment is not recommended, but we do not yet have a projected timeline. Of course, we want to spend as much time as possible with her beforehand. Is there any way to slow the process? For example, postpone the interview date or prolong the 6 months until entry? Secondly, we have a very expensive wedding ceremony planned and paid for in the US in September 2024. Would there be any way of entering and leaving the US while we are "waiting" on the interview? Do they have any exceptions to traveling while waiting on the green card? Thanks for your help.
