  1. That is fantastic news, and we have the same news as well! The check was cashed today! (8/22) We are looking forward to receiving the NOA-1 soon!
  2. Thanks! Yes that's correct we haven't moved or had any change of name or contact information.
  3. Hello- we are working through our K1. We submitted our AOS I-485 and sent it with tracked delivery. It arrived on 7/17. The fee (check) has not been withdrawn from my account and we have not received the NOA-1. When should we become concerned that it may have been lost or damaged?
  4. Hello, My partner and I are currently in a bit of a panic, attempting to figure out our next steps. Medical Examination at London Embassy on 12/29/2023 (Dec 29th): During his medical exam, he was asked if he ever had mental health issues or a history of self-harm. He indicated he had a history of self-harm from when he was 15 years old (he is now 32 years old). The medical doctor asked him to have his general doctor (GP) submit a statement that he is not a risk to himself or others. Once this statement was received, then the embassy doctor would submit the medical exam directly to the embassy for the final interview. Current Issue The two active GPs at his local medical practice have been on holiday/vacation or booked since the medical exam, but he was able to get in today to see one of them. We figured the GP would sign off and we would be on to the final interview without issue, however, this GP is moderately new to his medical history (~2 years) and said he would like to have at least a month maybe two of monitoring of my partner before he would sign off. He indicated that he personally, he doesn't think my partner is a threat to himself or others but because his medical license is at stake if he signs off on it and something were to happen in the US (he is concerned about US and gun violence) that he would lose his license. My partner and I are absolutely shocked and shattered, especially with his history of mental health issues being over 16 years ago. Where are we currently: I129-F Notice Type: Approval Notice Valid from 09/27/2023 to 01/26/2024 K1 Visa Interview at London Embassy is scheduled for 02/08/2024 (Feb 8th) My partner is currently calling to have his interview date moved. We have attempted to contact the USCIS contact center without luck to request an extension of the I129-F for a month or two from now until his GP finally decides to sign off- however I've only been able to receive an automated voice response without any human/representative. Is anyone aware of a similar situation or has any advice? Thanks, B
  5. Hello, My partner and I received our I-797 Notice of Action for I129-F and we are concerned because our interview date at the London Embassy is outside of our Notice Approval Validity. I129-F Notice Type: Approval Notice Valid from 09/27/2023 to 01/26/2024 Medical Examination completed at London Embassy on 12/29/2023 (Dec 29th) K1 Visa Interview at London Embassy is scheduled for 02/08/2024 (Feb 8th) Our concern is that the 129-F approval is valid only until 01/26/2024 but the interview is scheduled for 02/08/2024. We have attempted to contact the USCIS contact center without luck to request an extension. Is anyone aware of a similar situation? Thanks, B
  6. Hello! I have a naive question! I got the letter that the National Visa Center (NVC) received my approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on October 24th, 2023. The NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy in London. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy will contact your fiancé when they are ready to process the petition. Am I correct now that I am waiting next for a letter from the US Embassy in London with an interview date scheduled and that it may take 7 weeks?
  7. Your I-129F Approval Estimate: November 7, 2023 Very exciting to see, and we are looking forward to the next steps!
  8. Hello everyone, I'm an October 2022 filer. Getting ready to settle in and camp out here! Thank you for all the good resources!
