  1. We have known each other since 2017 but met in person for the first time in 2019. I could not travel in 2020 cos of covid, but i did return in 2021 and that is when we married. I converted from christian to muslim in 2019 on my first visit. Our age difference is 12 years. I am older than he. I have children he does not. i have been married before to a foreigner back in 2009. Both our family members love our marriage.
  2. I go there every year and stay 3 weeks each time. We married in March 2021 and I've been traveling there every year since. Im even traveling there twice this year.
  3. I think the issue is because we did not celebrate after our wedding and my husband told her that. We did not have the money for a big celebration so we just got married and had drinks with his brothers. So it kinda looks like it was just for immigration purposes.
  4. The last time i filed it took 13 months to get approved and then 7 months to wait for interview letter so the wait is about the same.
  5. Ok I am going to try my Senator. I will let yall know how it goes. I called the USCIS and even the representive that took my call says that i will have to refile after a year has passed cos they dont have it at their office.
  6. I have been waiting almost a year for the NOIR and still have not received it. While I'm waiting I should just refile and continue to wait. Cos even if i do get the NOIR after a year I will have to refile anyway. I may even get approved for another interview during this year if I refile. Has anyone ever had that happen?
  7. Seems like I'm going to have to refile, and just hope he gets another CO at the next interview. Do you think they will have the info from the last interview? and will they be able to tell that I'm refiling?
  8. I really need help. I filed for my husband to come and we were denied after his interview. Never was a given a reason why. its been almost a year since this happened. Was i suppose to get a denial letter be cause iam the petitioner? i never received anything. They just gave him a paper saying that it would be sent back to USCIS for review but USCIS says that never received it. Now my question is..Should i refile another petition and if i do refile do I use the same ceac site I used for before?
  9. Hello everyone, I'm hoping somebody reading this can help me.... My husband went for his interview October 4th of 2023. He had all the documents we needed but Consular said she did not believe it was for the right purpose. I have been waiting for a denial letter cause I am the petitioner, it's been more than 6 months what do I do. I've been calling the USCIS and they say they have not received it. But Consular said she would send it back for further review. What can I do? The country is Senegal. thanks
  10. When a person is denied at her interview, how does it take for them to send it back to USCIS? and will i get notice letting me know that they have received it?
  11. No im just saying if they have a big reception make sure they say it cause it may make a difference in the CO's decision. No never lie. I told the truth.
  12. I'm in the same situation. They are going to ask her a lot of questions and will probably do a telephone interview with you. We were denied and are now going through USCIS review because they said are answers didnt match. They wanted to know why my previous marriage ended. Oh and make sure you tell them that you had a large reception. Because i told them that we did not have a reception they looked at that as just getting married for papers and didnt even celebrate. We didnt have money to celebrate. we had all the documents they required and she didnt even look at them. Just said " We are sending your petition back to USCIS for further review. So be prepared. They called me why my husband was was waiting in their waiting area to be called. They can be sneaky when they suspect you.
  13. Thanks for responding. I dont understand why I would have to reapply. I've read in other forums where it only took 9 months to get reaafirmed after the uscis reviewed her case.
