  1. I bet this has never happened before. My wife got her resident visa after two years. We went to the US and stayed only two weeks. We had to return to her country because both her mother and father had to go to the hospital with severe health problems. The green card hadn't arrived before we left. The green card arrived after we had left and my daughter in the US mailed it to our address in Colombia Well it didn't arrive for a month. So I looked at the tracking number and it was delivered to Lagos, Nigeria by mistake. The delivery address was correct . I don't know if it was stolen or just misdirected to Nigeria. I contacted the USPS to inquire and they said they would look into it. So far nothing. It costs around $500 to replace it and takes any where from 7 months to a year to get a replacement !!!!!!!!. Incredible. I am not sure if she can enter the US without the green card. You are supposed to have in your posession at all times. Anybody know if she can enter? Any ideas?
  2. Received the passport with the visa in it today. Just now. The IV issue date is 25JUL2023 with an expiration date on 30DEC2023..It is an IR1 visa. Why is it good for only 5 months or so? Too late to call the embassy in Bogota. On the bottom of the visa it states: 212(g) (2) (B) IV DOCS IN CCD UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR Any ideas on what this is about?
  3. Finally! 2 year wait. I have forgotten what the embassy sends you now. My documents and visa in passport. Are there still documents sealed that you carry to the US?
  4. Can I send a requested document on a 203g letter to the US Embassy in Bogota by Fedx or another courier service?
  5. I think it will. I should have looked closer at the divorce stipulation. After the acceptance at the NVC I thought the document was ok.
  6. Well we waited 2 years so far. Another wait coming up I am afraid. The embassy wanted a divorce decree from 25 years ago. I had submitted a divorce stipulation which looks like a decree. The NVC accepted all my documents. They kept my wife's passport and told me to send in the decree. I called the clerk of court and they promptly sent me the decree. They said to use a special DHL that will send it free. So I took the decree in an envelope. The clerk said there was no authorization. I told them I would pay for it. They said no. That is not possible. So I went to another DHL and sent it to the consular section for visas. I don't know how long a delay this will be. Anybody run into this problem?
  7. I am glad everything went smoothly for you both.  I have a visa interview this coming Monday.  For the life of me I can't seem to register my visa appointment.  Any hints?

    Good luck.

I finally was able to register my visa appointment.  After the Biometrics was completed today.

Interesting. I had to schedule the visa and biometrics first and then the medical. I'm not exactly sure what registering them means.

But in any case, best of luck to you

  8. I am getting " invalid email or password" on my wife's email. The embassy sent an email to her email stating that she had to register her visa appointment. On my email it says the same thing. I have tried to change my data on email and password to no avail.
  9. Hi I have tried many times with both emails and including the original email for my account. Nothing works. What happens if you don"t register it? Can I send an email to the Embassy in Bogota?
  10. Are Bivalent covid 19 vaccines available by the panel physicians in Bogota, Colombia?
  11. If I am reading this right only one dose of any of the covid vaccines is sufficient for immigration purposes?
