  1. Hello! Joining the thread today, after following it for the last couple of days, as we filed the citizenship application few hrs ago. We got the receipt number but nothing about reusing biometrics. We'll see if they update anything on that. Otherwise it's just another long wait (but hopefully not too long 😊).
  2. Yes that seems right. I follow that discussion as well so we can move on there. Thank you. Yes it does ask for passport stamps copies
  3. I think processing times for different forms have always been same throughout time regardless of the rulling party or who's president. I'm not into politics much but I can really see that it doesn't affect much legal immigration. Only slow down I've seen was during covid. I see no difference otherwise. My N400 was processed in 8 months 5 years ago when Trump was president and I see same estimate right now too. Asylum and I751 always take longer than most others
  4. Yes, it's exciting and it should be a shorter wait than I 751. We can also file starting today. Estimate wait time for Utah says about 8 months which is the same as when I was filing for myself 5 years ago in the same state. Hopefully it will stay that way.
  5. Me and my husband just came back from Peru and he didn't have troubles coming back to US, he has an I551 temporary stamp in his passport plus extension notice, however Peruvian immigration didn't recognize the stamp and asked for his expired green card and proof of receipt that he has a pending application with USCIS. It took them about 30-40 mins to investigate and let him enter. So if anyone from India or China with a green card in process is wondering about visiting Peru without a visa, you shouldn't have a problem just show them a proof of your status with the notice.
  6. We also just received a mail from USCIS (that didn't show in informed delivery), it's another ADIT stamp on a form I-94... with his name wrong again🙃🤭Good thing he got the stamp in the passport yesterday 😌
  7. Hello! I just wanted to update on the issue with the typographic error of my husband's name on his I751 receipt and extension notice. He got infopass appointment yesterday and got the I551 stamp in his passport valid for one year. It took this whole time to actually correct it in their database and get the stamp. Just on time before the GC expires, although the officer said that name being wrong doesn't matter, they can still see his A number in the system. Now he has extension for only a year 🙂
  8. Thanks. I also saw someone saying that about Costa Rica afterwards but still not sure about Peru. I think that's the country we'll be most interested in visiting.
  9. Hi! How did the trip go? Did you have any issues entering Peru with extension letter? Are immigration officials and airlines flying there familiar with this letter? I know it's an old post but it's hard to find experiences online from people going to Peru specifically, with extension letter, because they only give visa free entry for LPRs to 2 nationals ( India and China) and many others don't even need visa for there. Thanks in advance!
  10. Hi there! Does anyone have recent experiences entering Costa Rica or Peru with Delta or LATAM with expired green card and extension notice? Both countries require visa for Indian citizens unless they're US residents. My Indian husband's conditional GC is expiring soon but we did submit the I751 and have the notice. Now just wondering what to expect trying to travel abroad in this case. It seems like it depends on the country and airline so just looking for the countries and airlines I mentioned above. Thanks!
  11. Nevermind this link you gave me contains recent experiences to other countries as well. Thanks!
  12. I'm sorry I thought I replied but I see now it's not posted. We're not thinking about Mexico, that was just an example. Anyway, I've read about experiences about traveling with expired GC and a notice both with and without issues with various airlines, but that was from few years ago. Can't really see anything from recent years particularly last year so I can have a better understanding and know what to expect. If anyone has or read about any recent experiences in such case and share some links I would appreciate it. Thanks!
