  1. No one can stop u to file it by yourself. Like I said u might have issue to find lawyer
  2. The moment you hired an attorney, just submit the G28 on the portal if possible. And also bring that form on the interview
  3. do you have straight forward case? or something that you concern with? can u still hire a lawyer? sure u can if/when you find one. most lawyer usually dont want to take halfway case, because they dont know your immigration history. you should do diligent and call lawyer's office to find out if they want to come with u on the interview. normally just form G-28 that need to be submit
  4. im not trying to be rude here, and not harsh at all, but u sound so entitled, all i can read here is WHERE IS MY RIGHT AS A TOURIST? ( YOU HAVE NONE). all i read on ur long passage just list of things that doesnt mean anything to CBP. if u think u are entitled to have that right, u wont be on a visa tourist right now, u will be a LPR or USC. u also wrote contradictive posts, 1 time u said u are not working at all, and the other post u said YOU WORK REMOTELY WHILE YOU ARE IN THE US SOIL. so which one? WORK IS WORK. REMOTE WORK, IN PERSON WORK ARE THE SAME. ITS WORK. and before u said im so mean, no im not mean, im trying to open ur eyes. and yes, i've been on the office like u too, but i dont have that same expectation like you. i want to enter the US and only they can decide.i dont list any all my demand as a tourist just because I ALSO (like u) come from well background, very well educated, always have nice jobs, came from money and traveled to 32 countries, live in 3 countries SO FAR. it doesnt justify me to complain about GIVE ME MY RIGHT AS A TOURIST. again, u are a tourist and not citizen. in the end of the day, can you say NO to all their questions? of course u can, it's not they gonna hurt you if u just stay quiet and refuse to answer any of their questions. but they also can refuse you, and nothing u can do. so what's it gonna be?
  5. 19 months has passed between the day i filed to the day of the interview. so from thin evidence to big stack (it's adjustment of status and i was at that time in removal proceeding)
  6. original = put in the accordion with tab title copy (to hand out to officer) = loose leaf paper with tab on the right hand side. clip with 1 jumbo paper. when officer asked "is there any additional documents that u want to submit?". i handed out the whole stack of "copy" to her approx 500 pages ( before people comment it's overkill, its not in my case, so dont assume its overkill) and i tell her "pick whatever u need, u can see the tabs so u can just pull it out to make it easier". she keep flipping the pages made me super nervous. she asked my husband "who prep this?", my husband just nod his head toward me and said "she's the one with OCD" LOL. the officer said to me "nicely done!". in the end, when i asked, so is there anything that u want to hand out back to me? she said "i will take it all". so to answer ur question : whichever method is game on, just make sure u dont fumble around, keep flipping because u cant remember where did u put the document. u can do whatever u want with 1 thing in mind : DO IT FAST AND PRECISE. good luck
  7. do u have a chance to get i-751? perhaps - if u have tons of bonafide marriage evidence. the mind set here : overwhelmed them with great evidences and not just a bare minimum. think like this is ur very last chance to win ur case. u get i-751 approved, u can close ur case with immigration court with ur approval notice dont waste ur money for n-400. get the i-751 approved first, then thing about n-400. u can file n-400 all u want but if i-751 not approved, u donate ur money to USCIS
  8. he's useless and clueless about his own case. he keep asking me questions while he has his own lawyer. i'm overload myself with work, study for LSAT and life i have no time to coach and "hold his hand" on this.this is the type of person who doesnt want to learn about his case, everything i asked, the answer is "i dont know". beyond my free help. he's been whining about "where's my GC" for years (filing in 2019 marriage), but he never say he is in removal proceeding. and i was like "there's no way u gonna get ur GC if u have a case in the court". i actually suspected when his 485 case is admin closed, usually admin closed = court. i asked him, and he said " what is removal proceeding?" few days later he said " oh yeah i went to court once" but he take it so casually and he didnt know what it meant when he went to the court. in the beginning he never say anything about court at all. i sent him to other lawyer (good one), even that lawyer said this case is super strange. the one that he currently hire unfortunately is the same ####### lawyer that i used to hire. to answer ur question, did he do FOIA? judging the quality of my lawyer, they probably wont do anything and he's gonna be siting duck. i will keep u posted when i found out new news. p.s after i got my GC, i did FOIA of my case through USCIS and EOIR. i got everything started from early 2000 (not before 2000 probably not digitalize). even the EOIR is complete but since my case removal proceeding through asylum case, the file its not thick (but it is complete)
  9. depend on which ICE office? some maybe are willing to take the correspondency than the other. there's an acquaintance also in similar issue. but USCIS admin closed i-485 and tell them to deal with IJ. while the case in IJ also lost somehow ( this is around 2003 when people from muslim country have to report to ICE after 9/11) seems that person got NTA and in removal proceeding. i agree with you, dont rock the boat if nothing can be done, stay put, dont look for trouble, in 3 years, naturalize and then can travel
  10. if you are not OCD like me, there's no problem. if it happened to me, i will chase uscis to correct it. but to answer your question, there are many2 people who filed to USCIS never have online account. do not ask me why? some people just dont really care. in the end of the day, if u cant get online account work, u still gonna have the snailmail for everything anyway 2 friends cant get online account work, even after make a new account and request online code. it's okay, its not the end of the world.
  11. i just appealed and they reopened the case. OMG cant believe these people.LOL
  12. its 50-50. some case it's link (like mine), some case it's not link(friends), have to request online code, when online code not working, means u have to create a new account. it's uscis, it's always 50-50 chance.
  13. i finally get response today from CBP said they gonna closed my submission because i didnt submit signature request (which i did). i filed 3 months ago. i just submit appeal because literally on the portal it showed that i already supply everything that they asked for, they just blind and cant see. let see how long it's gonna be. some people reported its around 13 months wait.
