  1. Great to know. I have an international trip scheduled 10 days after my oath ceremony so I'm going to try to do this as well. If you get the passport the same day - I think I should be good!
  2. Got my oath ceremony letter today. Scheduled for December 14th. Almost done!!!
  3. Pretty much what the title says. I officially got my I-751 approved today and my N-400 status changed to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" so I'm guessing that I will probably get a notice for that in the near future. Since I am not yet a US citizen, will I get a new permanent resident card (10 year) in the meantime?
  4. I did receive a paper saying I passed the question/written test and that a decision could not be made at that time - she specified that this was just due to the fact that I was approved but she needs to put everything in the system or something along those lines. Either way it sounds like I need to just keep being patient (hardest part!).
  5. Hi all, I applied in late June and just had my combo N-400 and I-756 interview on November 1st. For those of you that have been approved, how long did it take for you to see any updates on your USCIS account? The agent said she was going to approve me at the interview but haven't seen any movement. Thanks!
  6. Got it, that makes me feel better. Can I ask about how long it took between interview and an official notice either through mail or your USCIS account?
  7. Thank you! I think I'm just so close to the "end" of this process and just getting bit anxious but you're totally right! I'll keep an eye out for a notice.
  8. I had my combined N-400 and I-751 interview today in Fairfax, VA. Everything went great - I answered all the civics questions correctly and everything went well with the questions about our relationship etc. She asked me if I wanted to submit any further evidence about our relationship so I gave her 2-3 more months of bank statements from between when we applied and now as a nice extra because I had them with me. She was having some issues with the system on her end and couldn't access our marriage certificate so I gave her the one I had with me and she scanned it. At the end of my interview the interviewer said that I passed the interview and that she was going to approve me (woho!), however, she was not able to put me as "approved" on the piece of paper and had to put that "a decision has yet to be made" until then. She did say that she has to do this until she put everything into the system but I should receive a notice about my oath ceremony and to check my USCIS account because sometimes people get it on there faster. I'm not super familiar with this and I should have asked her at the interview but does this just mean that she's not able to "officially" approve me until she has put the new bank statements and/or the marriage certification on my file or could it have to do with the I-751? Also, should I expect this to take a few days or could it be longer? I'm guessing she was unable to do this due to the issues she was having with the system. I also signed the Oath documents and verified the information that would be used for naturalization. Additionally, do you usually get some type of notice that you were "approved" on your USCIS account? I'm guessing that it might take a few business days for that but just want to have an idea on what to expect. In short - my experience was great but now I'm at home and getting a bit anxious so figured it would be good to ask and see if anyone else is more familiar. Thanks!
  9. You don't have to send a letter! They should know that you have a pending ROC application - I have seen several people that still got a combo interview. If you submitted your N-400 online, you can always attach a letter to your application on the website if you really want to I applied for ROC March last year. I haven't heard anything except that my biometrics will be used... How about you?
  10. I filed on July 1st and got the notification of biometrics use right away too. Back to waiting because my ROC is still not approved but hoping for a combo interview (included an additional letter asking for one!).
  11. Oh yeah, I think you are correct. My card only has my A-number so the actual notice receipt number would make more sense then. If it is incorrect, I'm sure they'll contact me.
  12. Thank you, appreciate it! Do you happen to know if the receipt number would be the number on my card or on the actual notice?
  13. Hi all - So I've been working at a start up for the past 2.5 years and yesterday 75% of the company was laid off, myself included. From what I understand, I am eligible to apply for unemployment which I intend to do but my question is, exactly how do I fill out the application when I'm going through ROC? On the application it asks me for a receipt number and "USCIS (Alien Registration) Expiration Date:". Does anyone know exactly what they are asking for here? My green card is technically expired but I have the receipt explaining that it is extended for 48 months, would my expiration date be my green card expiration date + 48 months? I'm on the phone with the unemployment office but as expected, it is a nightmare getting through to them so I figured i'd ask and see if someone here has experience with this.
  14. I got my extension letter today so now the waiting game begins, lol.
  15. Did it tell you what date your NOA was sent out (the Notice date on the form)? I got my text the same day as you and still haven't gotten it so just i'm just curious! That being said, I'm sure mine will show in the next few days.
