My husband had his citizenship interview yesterday in the Hartford, CT office. I had submitted a letter with his application, requesting a joint interview for his lifting conditions. He was in the interview about 45 minutes (he's a talker!), and she did not request to meet with me. He passed his citizenship tests, and the agent went through his I-751 petition with him, and looked at the pictures and asked a ton of questions about our marriage, such as why we don't have our pay deposited to the joint account instead of transferring money to our own accounts (he explained that we reached and agreement and the mortgage, etc.. are paid from the joint). They also spent some time talking about Vegas, because ironically when we had our first interview, we had just booked a trip to Vegas for our anniversary - with this interview, we booked a trip to Vegas over Thanksgiving! She told him that she could not approve him on the spot due to the underlying I-751, but said that she was recommending him for approval and his oath ceremony letter would arrive in the mail.
Our status has not yet changed online - oddly, I received a notice about a week ago that they had taken action on our case, but when I log into the website there is not an update. So, I guess we are in a holding pattern at the moment, but still feel relieved that the finish line is in sight!
