  1. Thank you, I’m already down living in the states now :)
  2. Oh and be ready! I scheduled mine and then two weeks before my interview MTL emailed me and gave me a new date to be there within 6 days (I was panicking as I already had plane tickets for the original date and it was so last minute and wasn’t sure if my medical would have got there on time… which it wound up getting there the morning of 😅)
  3. Contact ais and they will tell you if your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. When I was expedited it was available to be scheduled for an interview and they helped me schedule it on the website and what to do.
  4. Ours was expedited this summer. DQ in Aug, interview was the first week of October. I'd say it moved it up a couple of months but thats it. And Ill add, the officer that interviewed us said he was the one that approved our expedite. He said we were VERY lucky as they RARELY approve expedite requests, but he knew ours had to be done and that it was then right thing to do. If you have a very good reason, it can be done!
  5. If my spouse is eligible for citizenship after 3 years after coming on an ir1, when is my step daughter eligible (ir2)? Is it also 3 years? Or does she have to wait 5?
  6. @Hawk Riders I got my visa on Oct 11 , for the spreadsheet :)
  7. Hi everyone, I’m about to file my first report online. I already spoke to the interstate department that set me up last week and he said I should be able to file this weekend. what do you all put online when it asks if you’ve been out of Canada and the reason, when it’s asking the questions about your current reporting period?
  8. Hi everyone, We have our medical coming up with Zatzman at the end of the month. Our interviews are October 11. None of the pharmacies around here in NS will have the flu shot until sometime after Thanksgiving. Any ideas what to do?!?
  9. Hi everyone, My husband accepted a job transfer state side for work (same company). We got his sister to joint sponsor me just incase because of domicile and in case we ran into any issues that all his income the last few years were Canadian. He just got his first US paycheck. Should I upload it onto NVC? Or leave it as is for the interview. We submitted his 2018, 2019 and 2020 taxes and Canadian equivalent of W2, and included a letter explaining that 2021 hasnt been filed yet due to extension of June 15 as he was out of the country and that we will provide it as soon as we have it. We submitted his sisters 2019, 2020, 2021 Tax statements and W2s, and one of her latest paystubs for her documents. Should we still send in his first US paystub? Or should it be OK as is considering we haven't a joint sponsor. Im just hesitant since we submitted our documents second week of April, and they're starting to process those at the beginning of April now.
