I traveled to Costa Rica in 2005 as a tourist and was introduced to Franco at a gym where he works. We dated for over a year and were completely inseparable.
He tried for tourist visa twice to be able to meet my family, but he was denied both times in Nov 2006 and April 2007.
We married in May 2007.
5-29-07 I contacted the US embassy here and found out that after I receive my residency card and am able to prove I have been living here for over 6 months, we will be able to do DCF!!!
I am so excited!!
I am a legal resident of Costa Rica as of June 2008. We can now apply for direct consular filing at the embassy in Costa Rica.
4/17/09 Our I-130 petition has been accepted, now the affidavit of support and medical documents to follow.
