I spent 2006 living in Merida, Yucatan, in Mexico. Juan and I met at a conversation group held every Monday night-- I was working on my Spanish, he on his English. We met in May, and we started dancing (salsa, merengue, cumbia, danzon) in August. We just loved spending time together. By December, when I had to return to the US, we knew we had something special. We decided to marry when I visited again in Feb 2007.
