  1. Not sure what really happened, and didn't really know if I-751s ever get approved without an interview, just heard of one other where the RoC interview was waived. I only did the civics test and was in and out in about 10 minutes. Possible, but if it was, it was done without an interview. Yes, done right after my naturalization interview.
  2. Mine might be an edge case but my N-400 was approved and I naturalized without an approved I-751. Never had the combo interview and my I-751 is still pending...
  3. I got my passport a lot faster than the average time for standard processing, so wanted to give an update. 9/25/23: Applied at local Post Office 9/29/23: Check cashed and status is "In Process" 11/9/23: Passport issued 11/14/23: Passport received
  4. I did not know that! Not removing the restrictions after getting the conditional GC (never got the 10 year GC) did not cause any issues with e-verify, so I'm hoping it still won't after naturalization.
  5. No mention at all. Pretty much the only other questions I was asked outside the civics test was the date of marriage and something about the two-year home country residency under Sec.212e (I was a Fulbright scholar) The entire interview was under 10 minutes.
  6. I did not have an I-751 interview or got an approval letter.
  7. I can do a self service verification on E-verify system and it's get approved without an issue, but it also clearly states that a citizen can not use a restricted SSN that requires DHS auth to work. Just worried by the time the new employer needs to E-verify, DHS and SSA data will sync and deny the request
  8. Has anyone had any issues with employment verification (e-verify) for not updating your social security record? I applied for a passport after naturalization. The wait is currently 10-13 weeks. They took my naturalization certificate so I can't update my social security record until my passport is issued. I'm about to get a new job and I'm a little worried there is going to be a problem with E-verify because of my out-of-date SS record.
  9. I applied, interviewed and got naturalized while my I-751 is still at "Application received" stage. N-400 did not affect or got affected by my pending I-751. It's still "pending" even after naturalization.
  10. Had my N-400 interview followed by the oath ceremony 10 minutes later at Raleigh-Durham Field Office yesterday. I was in and out in about an hour. My pending I-751 was completely ignored and no questions were asked about my wife or marriage. 5 years and 11 months from initial I-129F filing to Naturalization. 3 years and 20 days from I-485 approval to Naturalization. Relieved that this process is over! Time to apply for a passport, register to vote and update my social security record!
