  1. Same here. Still waiting for biometrics reuse letter or biometrics appointment
  2. I agree with you. I guess the issue in my case is I will be going on a very long vacation, which raises doubts. I appreciate everyone's input. I'm very grateful for this community.
  3. This is plan B. I am just curious what my options are and the visa journey community has always been extremely helpful in helping me navigate through all this. Others have made valid points that I could be asked to provide biometrics within a week of applying, so Im really just weighing up my options at this point.
  4. Thank you. I own my home in Arizona and it is our main place of residence. By definition does reside explicitly mean i have to be physically in the state prior to applying? Because it is my main place of residence, i just go to Australia for several months to see my family and so my son has a relationship with them, but i make sure I'm never gone for more than 180 days at a time.
  5. Hi everyone! My window to file my N400 (based on 3 year rule) is opening around the first week of December 2023. Here is my question... and PLEASE don't give me a hard time if this is a dumb question, here i go. I want to go to Australia to visit my family in September, but i want to go for a few months (less than 6 months). If i leave for Australia in September and then in December fly to Hawaii for a vacation and while Im thete submit my N400 online, before returning to Australia again, is that possible? I would then return to the mainland US when I get my interview scheduled/ before 180 days have lapsed. I am aware of the continuous residence requirement and the physical presence requirement. Thank you kindly for your input!
  6. Can anyone tell me how soon after filing I can expect to get my biometrics appointment. I filed in February, Texas Service Center and I never received a biometrics waiver notice. Thanks!
  7. I see many people have had fingerprints waived! So good! What does your case number start with? Mine is SRC and I am yet to hear anything about biometrics being re-used or a biometrics appointment letter.
  8. That is so awesome. Congrats. Is this fast to get biometrics? Or normal time frame?
  9. If it helps, I would wait too. I would hate to risk USCIS not being able to charge my card. Just keep a close eye on your transactions.
  10. That is a bizzare charge. I feel like it is unrelated to your USCIS application. For reference, it took USCIS over a week to charge my card after they received my package. So I want to say, don't freak out because it's still early days. I would question that charge though... Seems random to me.
  11. I got my NOA in the mail today. Here are my dates: 2/10/2023 - Mailed in package 2/14/2023 - Received date 2/17/2023 - Notice date / Text from USCIS 2/21/2023 - Received NOA in mail Extension letter was issued for 48 months. Texas Service Center ☺️
