We are happily lesbian-married and currently living in California together. We are mostly apolitical and enjoy quality friendships. We are always open to meeting new people and making friends that last a lifetime.

We are using a joint sponsor (USC brother) and have successfully used him for the K1 visa process as well.

  1. i can certainly empathize with you there. it really is ridiculous. especially because my wife’s grandma is deteriorating with dementia and this is a very important vacation for her. she even told them that over the phone and they said if she doesn’t have medical documentation to prove it then it doesn’t get an expedite. there’s no medical documents, she’s forgetting things, it’s not like she’s in the hospital right now but she might not remember things really soon.
  2. thank you! we’re going to try to get the boarding foil at the London embassy when we get there. they won’t give us an emergency appointment for the adit stamp. we still haven’t tried a walk in which we will probably still attempt before leaving
  3. it was really important that we cancelled the flights because the greencard was stolen 9 hours before my flight took off in the morning so we would’ve had no time to go in and plead our case really. we will definitely try a walk in! we live with my brother and he doesn’t have plans to leave so he can easily mail us the necessary documents thank god. thanks so much, do you have any ideas about how successful a I-131a might be for our circumstances?
  4. alright i’ll give it a shot. hopefully i’m able to speak to someone without an appointment but we shall find out
  5. our uscis local office is like right next to our apartment luckily. i cancelled my flights, what should i use as proof to plead my case?
  6. i have looked into the boarding foil. it looks like a positive option however i am afraid because i don’t know how reliable that is or much about it at all. do they typically get granted?
  7. awesome, would i be able to go down to the USCIS office in person without an appointment?
  8. thanks for the response. out of curiosity, because i know they’re gonna ask, what would we say the emergency is?
  9. someone broke into my car last night and stole my green card. i was supposed to travel back home to england this morning. i am crushed that i had to cancel everything. i was planning on traveling to my home country england with my wife for over a month to celebrate the holidays with my family after being away for three years. i already filled out form i 90 online so my new green card is in the works, but i heard that takes at least 6 months. what are my options to get me back to england as soon as possible to visit my family for a month? i also called the USCIS and requested an appointment to get an ADIT stamp but they said it could take up to 30 business days to get a call back to even schedule an appointment. thank you guys
