Rachel and I met in May of 2018 when I was in the Portage La Prairie area of Manitoba, Canada visiting friends. We had communicated extensively via WhatsApp but up to that point, we had not met in person. That evening we had both been invited to supper at a mutual friends house in rural Oakville Manitoba and we sort of got to know each other personally that evening. We continued communicating virtually until we could no longer deny that there was a definite connection between us. All that lead to this moment.
