  1. Hello, I recently naturalised, sent a I-130 update request, and received a response on my minor children’s petition that it has been upgraded to IR2 on July 3, 2024. I still haven’t received anything regarding their interview schedule. I was under the impression that it would be faster? When they were still F2A, their priority date was October 5, 2021, and the 2024 July and August bulletins suggests that they are also in line for the interview. Is there anything else I can do other than wait?
  2. Did you receive any update yet? I hope you hear good news soon. I got mine just minutes ago. They accepted it, so I’ll be in line for oath taking soon.
  3. Thank you! It was only a 2 1/2 month wait from N400 application to interview date, and I have until October this year until my greencard expires. Worst case is I’d have to re-apply, but I have all the papers that I just uploaded, so I’m ready. I just hope we’d from them soon if they ever decided to adjudicate or not.
  4. I just spoke with an immigration officer. I told her my case, and she sounded reassuring, saying “by June 4th” means June 4th is my last day, not June 3rd. She said she sees my uploads and uscis should be able to look into it soon. Looks like we’re on the same boat, and I guess we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed. Hoping for the best outcome for us!
  5. Hello, I was asked for RFE after my May 1, 2024 combo I-751/N400 interview. I wanted to gather as much evidence as possible so I held off on submitting it until the last day. It said BY June 4, which in my understanding is, anytime before 12:00 am June 5. When I logged in to upload my documents this early morning (June 4), I was mortified to see that it notes that I have missed my deadline. I uploaded all my files just the same by clicking on “upload unsolicited evidence”, as this was what replaced the original “respond with evidence” button. Is this a cause for worry? Should I speak to Customer Service, and what number do I reach them? If it was a glitch, can I upload more files before midnight?
  6. Hi, I’m scheduled for dual I-751/N400 interview too, tomorrow. Did you have to bring the documents you submitted like tax records, etc? Or just the basic requirements as stated on the letter?
  7. Applied for N400 Feb 20, 2024. I’m scheduled for interview/civics test tomorrow, May 1st. I was told they’re fast-tracking the process bec of the election. Goodluck!
  8. Hi everyone, I received both I-751 request to appear for initial interview and N400 naturalization appointment letters asking me to appear on May 1, same time/location. It will be 2 years this Oct since I applied for my greencard renewal so I went ahead and applied for naturalization, which was processed/scheduled within 2.5 months. My question is, I-751 letter says my spouse needs to be present and I need to bring all related documents, whereas N400 does not require my spouse to be present, and only required basic papers. Which one should I follow? TIA!
  9. That’s right, they both have a pending i-130 which I filed myself as permanent resident. The current visa bulletin is looking promising, but I may be able to expedite it with a USC status.
  10. Hello! I’m scheduled for naturalization interview on May 1st. I have a pending petition for my minor children (priority date Oct 2021). Can anyone please guide me on how I can update their status once I become a USC?
  11. Thank you so kindly for this helpful info. I looked into current processing time to get my citizenship and it is risky. I’ve just spoken to my spouse, and we will reapply with her as petitioner.
  12. Pride. My strong sense of independence. That’s the reason lol. I obviously wasn’t practical about the approach and thought doing it all by myself wouldn’t take this long 😊
