She’s retired and we’re fully sponsoring her trip here. She had a letter stating all of those facts for both interview at the embassy and CBP. I know every case is different, but I don’t see how it is an issue, especially if she may not come back for a few years after leaving the US. The purpose of the visit was clearly stated and no questions asked. I appreciate that other people concerned about it, but it doesn’t really answer the question regarding ESL classes.

Not to argue, but how is that an issue? She has return tickets and showed them at the airport along with the letter explaining her plans for these 6 months. So she was very straightforward about that. She’s also not planning on coming back anytime soon after departing.

A family member is visiting my family and I in the US on B1/B2 visa. She came here for 6 months and the officer at the airport was aware of her plans. Our local school district provides free adult ESL classes that are twice a week (4 hours total) and she is interested in attending those only during her visit. The classes are also non-credit. I cannot really find much information about whether it's possible for her to attend those without risking being denied next time she comes to visit. Thank you!

I already have my 10 year green card, so I guess it just depends on the officer I just printed 4 pictures on one sheet of paper for every of the last three years.

I believe it’s not, but I decided to bring as much as I could think so (without going too crazy with bills etc) rather than be sorry I didn’t bring something in. Just a heads up I already have approved ROC.

I had my interview today and I was approved! The interview was really easy, I brought all documents including copies and originals, but the officer only asked me for my 2-year and 10-year green cards and also any photos of my husband and I. I printed three pages, one for every of the last three years, but the officer only took the page from this year, I guess because the rest of the photos were in my case already. There seemed to be some issues with the internet, so I took the oath right after the interview and got my certificate shortly after! We had to drive really far to the office, so taking the oath the same day, especially right after the interview was great. Good luck to everyone !

On the interview notice it even doesn't mention USC spouse's passport at all. So you should be good

Hello! I have my interview in less than 2 weeks. I already have my 10-year green card, ROC was approved without interview. I applied in October 2022 and the evidence I submitted will be included in the list below. I am thinking "it's better to bring it and don't need it rather than don't bring it and regret about it"; however, I am still trying to find that middle ground, so I don't get lost in papers. Here are my questions: 1) What else should I add? 2) For what period of time should the bills/bank statements be? I submitted last 6 months (April - September 2022) and for the interview I will only have 2-3 more bills/statement. Should I just add new statements to those I submitted or should I do every 6 months within 3 years of marriage? Every month? 3) Should I bring copies along with the originals (for ex., for birth certificates, passports, green cards etc)? Thank you! I saw another filer from September also got interview scheduled at Fresno office last month, so maybe it's just faster over there. It is a corgi pup indeed, he's almost 4 right now
