  1. Obtaining a PCC in India can be somewhat of lengthy the process, I know it was for my husband. This would be dependent on where and what state in India your wife originated from.
  2. USCIS is saying they completed the additional review and it now at the NVC again and once the final review is completed, it will again go back to the consulate . Fingers crossed that after all this , it’s a positive outcome!
  3. Yes it does as of May 2nd. Then USCIS provides other information about NVC and then being to returned to the consulate. We are hoping that means the case is being reaffirmed. It all can be very confusing.
  4. Unfortunately we are still in limbo, with no clear answer. We’ve had the senator, White House involved and still waiting . USCIS chat feature recently stated they completed an additional review and our case was transferred back to NVC, adding more confusion to the process.
  5. My husband and I were married via Utah online zoom in 2021. It was accepted and no RFE's during the USCIS and NVC stage. I will mention with Utah, when you receive the marriage certificate it is a "marriage license and marriage certificate" all in one, so it will have the date you applied for the marriage license and the date of marriage ceremony listed. My husband had his interview in Mumbai January 2024. The consular office asked him many questions about the dates on the certificate, even showed it to his supervisor. We believe this is one of the reasons we were given a 221g, even after my husband clearly explained to the consular officer. Perhaps this method of marriage is not the norm or not seen as often at certain consulates/embassies.
  6. I’m looking for some insight, my husband had his interview ( Mumbai, India ) in January of this year. The counselor officer requested he submit more documentation , they did not keep his passport. All requested documentation was submitted within two weeks. Since February, there has been 11 times so far the date has changed when we check the case status. As for status itself, it continues to read “ Refused” . Has anyone experienced several date changes , before receiving an actual decision? Can this be a good or bad thing ? Thanks for sharing any experience or knowledge.
  7. .My husband was issued a 221g white slip as well in January at his IR1 visa interview in Mumbai. Our case status was listed as refused, but not put in administrative processing. He needed to submit additional documentation and we have been waiting the past two months for a decision. Our case status date has changed over 8 times since then. There’s not much you can do at this point , except wait it out and hopefully for you the 1-2 week time frame is accurate.
  8. My husband is from India. And I’m a US citizen .This is our time line so far…I applied for him in July 2022. I-130 approved in June 2023. Interview ( Mumbai ) in January 2024 More documentation was requested and was hi submitted February 2024 and we are still we waiting a final decision. Be prepared, it can be long and pain staking process. Best of luck !
  9. I can’t speak for Canada , but my husband obtained his PCC in India without my name in his passport.
  10. Yes that is correct . I don’t recall if it was asked for or necessary ,but my husband also had with him copy of our marriage certificate and a copy of the email with his visa interview date.
  11. You need to follow the prompts and fill out the form you mentioned for the biometrics appointment . You can choose the location, day and time for your appointment. My husband has his interview next month in Mumbai and just went though the medical and biometrics appointments in New Delhi with no problems.
  12. Does anyone have experience with or information concerning wait times for an interview in Mumbai ( IR1 visa )? Things were going smooth until we were DQ’d 9/8/23 after that ,everything came to a standstill. Any insight is appreciated.
  13. You’re welcome , best of luck at the interview.
