  1. Did your child get approved? Unfortunately, updated I864 will needed based on the most current tax year that's why the consulate is asking.
  2. Ok understood; I always fet like the online system needs improvement. No big deal though; as adviced by others, after you naturalize, apply for their US passport first (both parents permission is needed). And certificate of citizenship after receiving passport. Good luck.
  3. Hmm. I helped review a friend's N400 online application a couple of months ago. There was definitely a section to add children. Look closely or you'll miss it. If I remember correctly, you'll have to click into something to add child's name. The one thing I didn't see though was a place to add spouse name. He made sure get spouse added at the interview.
  4. Just adding to what OldUser and CrazyCat have said. Yes, get on the plane and heard right back. Also keep in mind to not sign any form I-407 if coerced (probably unlikely but keep that in mind). Good luck.
  5. Nothing complicated actually from the US side of things. You'll keep your Scotland citizenship too. Setup a USCIS account (if you already haven't) and file N400 online; Scandi provided link above. Good luck.
  6. Ahh I see, bummer for op. I don't know if that new policy from 2023 will apply. I forgot the specifics. Need to go reacquaint.
  7. https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/concurrent-filing-of-form-i-485 Concurrent filing of Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is when an adjustment of status application (Form I-485) is filed before the approval of the underlying immigrant visa petition. We will consider the immigrant visa petition and the Form I-485 concurrently filed when you file them at the same time and mail them together with all the required filing fees and supporting documentation to the same filing location. We also will consider them concurrently filed if you file the Form I-485 after the immigrant visa petition but while the immigrant visa petition remains pending.
  8. To me, it's perfectly clear he is currently inside the US attending college and he is trying to make sure he stays in status after completing community college. Op can clarify but i don't think his original statement was confusing in terms of where currently is. Perhaps he can clarify the date.
  9. He needs to file I-485 with the receipt of I-130. This is also considered concurrent filing.
  10. From the instructions supporting evidence section: Evidence should consist of copies of ANY of the documents listed below that apply. Your evidence of sufficient income using employment letter and pay stubs are good enough. Good luck.
  11. So your child right now is automatically a US Citizen. I will recommend you apply for US passport first. Once she gets the passport, then I highly advice you also apply for Certificate of Citizenship for her. Good luck.
